      August 4 th into the 5th 2022 My husband and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and we're able to get away for an overnight we booked our room straight with the hotel the price was reasonable but the hotel was awful we checked in after 3:00 p.m. changed our shoes dropped our luggage and went back out did not return until 10:30 10:45 p.m. went into our room there was dust on the lamp at the ****ide there was a dust on the headboard the freezer was full of ice needed to be defrosted the bathroom floor had chips out of it the toilet was loose on the floor the tub was stained in the bath mat was dirty there were two queen **** in the room we opened the bed closest to the air conditioner and there was a potato chip under the covers on the sheet we were just tired enough that we opened up the other bed and went to bed we went down for breakfast in the morning the floor was sticky near the waffle and coffee while my husband was drinking his coffee I went to the main desk and asked to speak with someone I spoke with a gentleman and I told him about the sticky floor and that there was dust all over the place and about the potato chip and I got asked are you staying a second night I said no he said oh all right we'll take care of it and that was the end of it no offer to refund money no offer to give us another night stay in a different room nothing I called corporate that day and filed a complaint with corporate corporate said that it was between us and that hotel corporate gave us reward points I received what I believe is a form letter from a person named *********************** from the Ramada inn in kittery and her letter basically states that she's sorry and that they would have taken and refunded all of our money that night so we could go to another hotel or to clean our room that night I'm sorry at 11:00 at night I don't want to change rooms and I definitely don't want to try to find another hotel my husband and I are both over 65 my husband is disabled and is a vet

      We booked a room at this Ramada for an overnight stay on 4/23/22 through Agoda and charged $93.94; when I reviewed our cc statement, I found I was charged an additional $75.00 on 4/24/22. I tried numerous times to contact the Hotel at the property's phone number listed on my statement. I was either told they would return my call or the phone call was suspiciously "disconnected."I wrote to the Ramada **************** to let them know about the explain this issue, and here is the response I received from '******', a customer service representative:"I'm concerned about the problems you experienced at our Hotel during your recent visit. I am writing to thank you for taking the time to bring these matters to my attention."The post-departure fee of $75.00 charged to the credit card you provided us at check-in for damages and incidentals was labeled as a Room Damage Charge. Looking into staff comments and photos regarding the condition of your room, it was noted that the faucet of the bathroom tub appeared to have been stepped on or struck, causing the faucet to bend down and expose the copper piping that should be contained within the tub's walls and out of view. Because of the cost of parts and labor to fix the broken faucet, we charged this fee to your card."I responded to the ** representative that it was It is impossible for us to have caused this 'damage" because we did not use the shower or tub. In fact, my husband and I were joking that we would drive the 1.5 hours home to shower because the Hotel's bathroom was so run down and disgusting (hairs were on the shower wall!)In conclusion, this is a sleazy way to scam $75.00 from a patron, and one leaves one to wonder how many times this has been done by this Hotel.
