I was quoted $10,000 for the remodeling project for my bathroom to accommodate my son who had a disability issue. I told him I don't have that kind of money and if I can get financing, then I would be willing to do the project. I was called by a financial company (I don't remember the name of the *** but they quoted a $6000 interest fee on the original quote of $10,000. So the total project was going to cost $16,000. So I said NO, that was too much interest for a $10,000 job. So it was canceled. ***************************** of ******** called and was upset that I canceled and he told me the deposit would be a penalty for not accepting the quote. This is not true. I have written to him twice to return my $500 deposit, to date I have not heard anything from him. I gave him a check for $500 depending on the financing .

Denial of credit. That was approximately 02/23/2023 I was told that I had not canceled within 3 days and had lost my window to get a refund. Shortly thereafter I turned the matter over to my POA **************************He in turn spoke to the company and reminded them that credit was denied and thus a full refund was owed. The next month was spent in run-a-rounds, checks in the mail, etc. On March 23 I received 2 more notifications of credit denial, credit I had not authorized to be checked. My POA, Contacted ************************************* again by phone on March 21, 22, & 24th. He was told there was a problem with the check. On Mar 27, ****** was told that the check had been mailed out on the 24th from ********,**. As of the 31st the check had still not been received. And phone calls not answered. I am a 78yr old vet, who is currently in a physical rehab facility. I have multiple acute health issues as well. Not anyone's problem but my own. However I do feel like I am being taken advantage of due to my age, health and diminished capacity. All I want is my $6000 to which I feel justly entitled too, since credit was denied.
