      My husband and I reserved a room at the Monhegan House for 7/27 - 7/29/24 via their website on 5/17/24. I tested positive for covid-19 on 7/24/24, making it unsafe to travel/stay at Monhegan House as there are communal bathrooms, living spaces, dining rooms etc. We attempted to call the hotel main number ************ on 7/24 and 7/25 with no pick up or call back. On 7/26/24 we called the hotel main number listed on our confirmation email and main website and we recieve a message that the phone is disconnected. We are calling during business hours as listed on the confirmation email. We have also attempted to contact the business via email on 7/24/24 and 7/25/24 (new owner's email per her second inn, the Cracked Mug *************************** and ************************************* with no response. We were requesting to reschedule our reservation due to myself having COVID-19 but at this time we are unsure if this is even a real business and would like our money back.

      This complaint is inexplicable.
      The guest Lillians reservation was canceled as per her request back in July (July 26th at 1:47pm to be precise) and a full issued on that date. I have screenshots of the transaction on our official reservation system (ResNexus) which I am happy to share.
      I take our reputation very seriously, and unless there is more information that I am unaware of, her complaint is unfounded and slanderous.
      The irony of her complaint is that we have been overly generous with refunds this summer since it is our inaugural season and we've had some pretty big delays getting back to people - as a result, we have shouldered the burden of the delays by overriding our typical cancel/refund policy over and over and granting over-generous refunds.


      According to my records, she has received her full refund.

      . I got an email back till in June 19th from the owner of the monhegan house which owns the pizza shop and the owner's name is ************************* phone number ************ and he said sorry to hear about the issue with a pizza and he offered to give me a credit however he will not give me my money back I asked him to send it to me because I don't plan on coming back for another 2 years to monhegan Island and I just asked for my money back, I have emails that I can send you but I didn't know about sending them at this time with the first contact with you
