Superior Roofing put a new roof on our house 1/31/23. On 1/23/24 we noticed a leak from the top of the window at the front of the house. We also had leaking from our upstairs bathroom window a week before. When I checked for other leaks I saw water in our crawl space at front of house. I had Sonrise Over Cedar (construction and maintenance) come out to inspect. He said the leaking was due to improper water shielding & flashing. On 2/1/24 someone from Superior Roofing came out to look. He said it was probably an ice dam. When I proved him wrong & told him about the leak at the back of our house not just the front, the roofer then said it was probably from the storms a few weeks ago. Again I proved him wrong and told him the leaking didn't happen during the storm, we have had leaking on different days, neither of which were near a storm. (But wouldn't water shielding/flashing protract against rain if it were done properly?) We handed the roofer the notes of what's wrong and what needs to done that Sonrise Over Cedar gave us, along with their business card. Superior Roofing refused to fix their mistake. Sonrise Over Cedar said the whole roof needs to be water shielded and flashed correctly. Our sheet rock needs to be moister tested. Insulation needs to be ripped out in crawl space, needs to be dried by blowers and dehumidifier. We have already contacted Servpro to do this, they will be here tomorrow to give an estimate. Lived here 19 yrs with no issues until this new roof.Superior Roofing needs to come back out and tear down the roof, put down proper water shielding and flashing, and put new roof on correctly. Their insurance needs to cover damage done to our home, including cost of ripping out insulation and drying out and spraying for mold in crawl space. And ripping down sheet rock and and putting up new sheet rock for any moisture Servopro finds when they come out tomorrow.Account number: *************** Proposal #****
