Date of transaction 5/15/21 Amount of money paid business $22,393.67 Nature of dispute is repair done prior to selling truck was done poorly & incorrect. Business tried to resolve NO stated it was "our problem" *** poor quality repair done initially & stated to us it was done - caused problems & more with that truck. We feel any "reputable" company should be liable for workmanship & be held accountable making right to purchase. *** truck is all apart - waiting for parts/repair. We are seeking ALL costs in getting repair fixed correctly. Workmanship will NOT be done @ this business. Basically due to it done wrong initially (stated by another mechanic). *********************: We purchased a used 2013 Chevrolet Black Silverado **** Truck with 5.3 engine on May 15, 2021; VIN #*****************. You purchased the vehicle at an auction. You told us that you replaced the #6 cylinder. We had seen your vehicle in advertisement for sale stating it had ******* plus in mileage. Yet, you drove it and put on about ***** miles. We felt that was false advertising to the public. We called you numerous times to have our calls not returned, or you stated you were busy and would call back. We reported the check engine light more than once to you. It was reported to you on Friday, September 3rd that the truck was out of commission. **** disclosed that the truck was towed by AAA to a local mechanic. Two mechanics looked at the truck and stated that the problem was with the #6-cylinder repair, there was no oil whatsoever circulating and bone dry. It was also noted that the repair was done incorrectly and all the cylinders should have been replaced on that one side. On the above date, **** finally reached you by calling your business again. You stated it was not your problem, the 30 days expired and you were not going to do anything. Also, you stated that you needed to talk to your mechanic, ****** to see what was exactly done prior to selling the vehicle. As well, you asked to have statements sent to you or emails on the input of other mechanics. Yet, we received nothing as to what was done. Neither here nor there, you did the work of poor quality causing the vehicle/engine not to be drivable. The unfortunate piece is that you drove the vehicle for nearly ***** miles or over causing no flow of oil through the engine. **** had only driven the truck very little and contacted you immediately on the check engine light. The code was shared with you and the diagnosis too. The truck came to the point of undrivable because it was bone dry of no oil due to the mechanic repair of that cylinder. That same problem exists to date because the job was not done correctly.
