On March 31, 2023 I purchased a 2022 Forest River Sandpiper fifth wheel *** During our final walk-through it was discovered that the refrigerator would light up but was not cold. The technician giving ** the tour stated that it takes a little while to cool down and he just plugged in the *** I trusted him and continued with the tour and purchase for $59,303. ************, then installed the camper at our campsite. Upon arrival to our first trip to the camper it was discovered that the refrigerator did not work. I immediately called the dealership to inform them. They sent a technician out and he confirmed that the refrigerator was junk. The dealership then tried to use my extended warranty to cover the refrigerator replacement. I made it perfectly clear to the dealership that the refrigerator was broken when I arrived and it should not affect my warranty. The refrigerator never worked when it was sold to me and it still does not work now. It has been almost a month of phone calls, voicemails and battling with the dealership to get them to replace the refrigerator. Phone calls are not returned. Management is less than helpful and speaks to me as if I am the problem. With a family of five, including a newborn baby and a nursing mother not having a refrigerator is extremely frustrating. There has been no set in stone plan to resolve the issue and every time I speak with someone they tell me they will look into it and call me back which the return phone call never happens. The balance for the camper was paid in full and I am still without a refrigerator. My last conversation was with the co-owner ******, who assured me she would have a plan in place to fix the situation by yesterday. I never received a phone call from her or anyone else from the dealership to let me know what their plan was to mitigate the situation, I am now reaching out to the Better Business Bureau. In hopes they can help me resolve the situation.
