On March 21, 2024, I contacted with Evolution ************** (***************************) to repair rotted shakes and Roof Face Trim Boards. He quoted me $2,700 and asked for 1/2 up front. I Paid him $1,400. We agreed the work was to be completed in the next few months. I contacted him in April (4/12), May (5/17) and then June 14 on which he kept telling me "I was on his list". He never contacted me once, I had to call him. On 6/14 he said he would be here to do the work on 6/21 - he No-Showed. On 6/30 he apologized (family issues) and said he would be here on 7/1 - he No-Showed again. On 7/3 he said he would be here on 7/8 and No-Showed again. On 7/15 he and a worker showed and his worker started work on a portion (Front Door shakes) of the job. He showed up with no materials to do the job - no wood - no nails and spend most of the hours here on his phone smoking. Clearly incapable of doing the job, I fired them and asked for a refund of 1/2 of my $1,400 deposit as he did "some" work. He agreed to pay me $700 0n 7/15 and said he would pay me by 7/19. To this date (8/6) , he never refunded me the money despite me asking several times.Initial Complaint

Began deck removal last year in June to have the main sill replaced on the house. I've paid for the new decking, the beam, and the time for the deck to be built. I don't have the trex to have the deck done, nor has the beam been replaced. It's been many broken words, promises, excuses.Customer response

I have heard from the business. The owner stated that the work was supposed to be done this week, and I have yet to hear back from him in regards to this. I've reached out several times via text, and 1 phone call. Nothing has been returned.Initial Complaint

On January 9, 2024 my husband and I gave ***************************, Evolution Contractors, LLC two deposit checks for two jobs in our home. First, $2500 for a flooring job, and second, $6,250 for replacement of a bdrm window and bay window. The flooring job was not finished, i.e., the transition strips were not installed, although we paid ******* in full for that job. We waited for several months and ******* never contacted us to come and complete that job. We contacted ******* via email in March and asked him when he was coming back to complete the flooring job, and that we wanted to cancel the second job for the windows. We told him we wanted our $6,250 deposit back for the window job. ******* never responded to our email. I have spoken to him a few times and he indicates he is going to refund our money soon. To this date we have not received any refund, and he has not given us a date when we will receive it.Initial Complaint

This Business took my $1000 deductible and no work was done.I asked multiple times to refund me my money, I either got ignored or lied to about dates to return it. Now when I message the owner he completely ignores me. The owner ******* is a liar and a thief. He treats his customers like complete idiots and thinks he has the right to keep my that he stole.Initial Complaint

We contracted Evolution Contractors LLC of Topsham, ** to rehab/replace a covered porch/deck/and roof. We retained them January 1st and was told it would be done by end of January. We paid them a total of $15200 (total job cost) weeks ago and have been ghosted. The job is about 90% done. I already hauled away leftover waste/ materials which the was the contractors responsibility. I now have to finish carpentry and aluminum trim work which runs about $2000. I have many supporting documents/notes Ill attach. This person broke many promises to show up. It became excuse after excuse. As you can see I began to inquire Jan. ************************************************* communication and work started being broken.
