10/18/23 ****** assessed damage to chimney. Small tear on inside ceiling. I was told I had a serious problem and water would be pouring into my house. Estimate to repair $3,600. Pd $1,800 deposit. He sealed 2 chimneys which told him less than an hour. I questioned the price and he said he had to pay $125 a gallonlater it was $175 a gallon. I had several phone conservations on the repair. He said it was a lot of work. He needs to grind 4 seams and reseal them. I filed an insurance claim who hired Service Pro to assess the damage. No attic damage was discovered. On 10/29/2023 ****** and his son arrived unannounced around 3 on a Sunday afternoon. They did not call or knock on the door. I heard them on my roof and was frighten. At this point I realized I had been misguided and I asked them to leave. i asked them for a partial refund for work they didnt perform. ****** said hed have to think about it and figure it out. It was impossible for them to complete the 8 hours of work they discussed in a couple of hours before dark. *******************************, Supervisor of *************** construction, repaired my chimney in One hour using less than a $100 of materials. I completed paperwork for small claims court, sent registered letters, paid the sheriffs department to serve papers. The ******************* couldnt serve the papers after repeated attempts. The sheriffs department sent me a letter on 1/22/24 stating they were told he had moved to ******, Maine. ****** is avoiding responding and I realize I was scammed. The address on his website is incorrect.Customer response

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.I believe the owner is purposely avoiding a response. Besides 2 register letters and, the sheriffs department attempting to serve court papers. The BBB was my last resort. I really dont know what else can do. I have been scammed.
