Contacted *************** owner *********************** in June 2022 to re-roof three buildings with a metal roof. Initially he was prompt to call back and visit. Requested a downpayment and ****** was paid on June 24. Since then, ****** has had several excuses as to why he could not start the job. Canceled the contract with him in October 2022 and requested the downpayment to be returned. Has not returned the downpayment as of December 2022, citing more excuses. Does not return my calls at this time. Please DO NOT conduct business with ***********************.Review from Paul C

The owner, *********************** from Mainely Roofing and Siding LLC come over October 27 2020, gave us an estimate of $ ********* to reroof and replace the siding on our home. We agreed to hire him and paid a $4500.00 down payment. After several months and the job being constantly pushed back, we finally fired him in April 2021. He promised to drop off the materials at which point I agreed to call it even. He then changed his mind and said he would take the 30 days the law allowed him and refund our money, which would have been June 30 2021. The date came and went no refund. He then contacted us an offered to pay us back in installments, which we turned down. Then he texted us and said your contract said no refunds on deposits. First, we have the original contract with his signature and nowhere does it state "NO REFUNDS, so then he emailed us the contract and it's unsigned and totally different and a fake and indeed his copy says " NO REFUNDS". Tired of dealing with his ****, we filed a police report which has been turned over to the district attorney's office along with several other complaints from other customers. So basically, he took our deposit and never did any work. He is a lair, a thief and a fraud!!! He was also arrested back in March for defrauding and 83-year-old neighbor of ours for $29,000, which she paid him as a down payment on a ******. job. This guy is bad news, please stay clear of him and his company!!!!
