They say you can use it in an emergency with out a license, also a half lie. Only if immediate risk to life or property. Not a generalized emergency. Also encouraging people to break FCC rules.Encouraging people to get a amateur radio and saying you don't need a license and lieing about capabilities gives people a false sense of security. With out licensed use they will not know how to use I effectively and most importantly what its limitations are.I see by comments on thoer ******** that people think they will be able to grab this radio and call someone in another state without a licenseor infrastructure, which just is not true.Very misleading advertisements preying on people that don't understand radio.It could also lead to unlicensed users jamming frequencies during emergencies because they do not understand how radio works and what is allowed.
