      I hired Two Men in a Truck on Tuesday, 6/3/24 to move furniture from my basement to the first floor of my home. The movers did extensive damage to my home. I recently purchased my home and had all the floors refinished. They were moving the couch through the doorway, broke 2 pieces off the newly dry walled entrance, and then a piece of it was under the leg of the couch and they proceeded to drag the rock on my hardwoods for a 5 foot ***** in my new refinished floor. They also splintered the door going to the basement. What was supposed to take 2.5 hrs took them 6 hours to complete. They told me I paid for insurance but they have not resolved any of this claim. If you could send me an email address, I will forward you all the emails and pictures I have sent to 3 of their managers. My phone calls go unanswered. The company that did my floors told me the floors have to be rebuffed and polyed because it is a *****, not a scratch. He gave me an estimate of $2500 because the furniture will have to be taken out and put back in 5 days, All the curtains I put up will have to come down, not to mention cleaning all the rooms because of the dust from the floors. The movers showed up at my house with not even a s**** driver to move the furniture.

      I hired 2 men and a truck to move my house and family on July 25, 2022. The day of the move the driver were 4 hours late, but kept in touch with me giving updates. Once they arrived they went to work. Some of the movers needed to be directed as to how to move certain things. Once they move was completed the person in charged asked me was it okay for them to take a lunch, I asked how long they said about an hour. I only agreed to it because I just wanted it done. It took a total of over 12 hours to move in general. After, theyre lunch break, they showed to the new address about an hour later. After they had moved me and my family in, I paid them electronically and they left. The next day me and my daughter started in packing. I noticed that I had a 2 men and a truck box, which I did not purchase with my things in it. I was later informed that one of me boxes were damaged, in short all of me boxes were damaged but none of the articles were. However, we were missing several items:******** switch dock Telephone iPhone chargers and cords iPad mini 6 series I have reached out to 2 men and a truck several times from July 25th until now. I have had several conversations regarding these items. I informed the manager **** and *** regarding these missing items and that one item ( ******** switch dock) was found. However, the other items were not. I have been asked to send screen shots and receipts of what was missing. I spoke with **** 2 weeks ago he said he was investigating the matter, and would call me back its been 2 weeks. I have left messages and no return calls or a mailed out check which was promised by the supervisor. I also have documentation of phone calls, recorded calls, and text messages to a number which was provided to me per ****.

      We have interviewed seperately, the movers and driver from your move and have found their stories regarding the days events to all match up.  We have found no trace on our trucks of any items you are claiming are lost.  We have asked you to file a police report and let you know that we are willing to cooperate in an investigation.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:

      I am rejecting the request from 2 men and a truck moving company. I am simply asking for reimbursement of my telephone and Apple chargers. I am not seeking reimbursement for my Apple IPad. I explained this to ********************* the supervisor I have been trying to contact. *****, I was told by ********************* that the company would reimburse me for the items lost due to the movers damaging one of my boxes and replacing it with a 2 men and a truck box. Which I was unaware of. 

      I want my reimbursement for the items missing which the receipt was sent to ********************* via a text app. Those items were totaled to almost $100.  ********************* has those receipts sent to him in his possession. He has confirmed with me that he received them.

      Again, reimbursement for the items I had to repurchase ONLY. Not the iPad

      This company moved our furniture. We paid nearly $10k and they broke some of our furniture, a desk, a dining chairs wall art, glasses and are now refusing to respond to an update on things. I have even said I only care about my dining chair and the desk, can you please replace or repair those. They rarely answer and when they do it is very late. Terrible business, I don’t think every branch is bad, but this one has been awful to deal with.
