I hope this message finds you well. My name is ***********************, and I am writing to address the **** dispute (Case Number: ID *********** initial dispute initiated on January 30th, 2024, the second dispute was filed on March 18th, 2024, regarding a transaction with Chrysler Southfield Dealership. Upon visiting the dealership, I reported a concerning issue with my vehicle noticeable shaking while driving. Following their diagnostic test, I authorized payment for a wheel alignment and brake rods replacement as advised. However, upon driving home, the issue persisted. Despite attempts to resolve with the dealership, the problem remained. Seeking a second opinion from Discount Tire, it was revealed that one rim was bent, rendering the wheel alignment unnecessary. After their recommended services, the issue was resolved. Despite efforts and communication with my bank Kellogg Community Credit Union, the resolution was not attained where the denial overlooked the core issue. Please refer to the condition on ****************** Guidelines for **** Merchants: 13.3 page 40 on "Not as Described or Defective Merchandise/Services", where the merchant may have to include a third party opinion and provide specific information to refute my claim if the issue was quality where the Dealership only provided an itemized list. The dealership failed to provide proof of a TEST DRIVE after fixing the "issues" to ensure that it was resolved. For this regard, I have reached out to the Michigan Attorney General for Consumer Complaints to resolve this matter. I respectfully request a re-evaluation of this dispute, even if the dispute is resolved with less than my desired amount. I have attached all information needed. The issue was because the services were not rendered and defective as my vehicle still had issues after. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Sincerely, ***********************

The credit union preys on the elderly with their “courtesy pay” feature. They allow their “members” to overdraft their accounts on a regular monthly basis because they know they will receive government assistance. Not to mention each transaction that occurs, these elderly customers are charged a $30 fee. As a previous employee and since customer their lack of effort to assist me is astounding. Nicole, Karla, Debbie, Teresa, and the “dispute” team are the most unprofessional “professionals” I've ever encountered. I was denied a dispute to be filed because they needed documentation from me. Ive worked for 3 different financial institutions and this is my first time hearing that. A un-authorized transaction over-drafted my account for an extremely large amount. How would I have documentation from an unauthorized transaction? The system is flawed, I say this because each representative that I spoke with could not understand why and how the transaction was allowed to go through when the funds were not available. I was told by Karla that merchants can “force” payments through. If thats the case then every merchant would force every payment through and I wouldnt have gotten several notifications that the payment declined. Theres no such thing as forcing a debit card payment. Im very educated in banking and I know the scams that are ran by these companies who don't “process” payments on weekends. Not only do I have proof that the company should not have charged me, I also have proof of the scam Kellogg community has ran on me and im sure there other 10 customers as well. This is step one of my formal complain

      Kellogg Community Credit Union Response

      07/23/2024

Kellogg Community Credit Union (KCCU) extends its appreciation for notifying us of your complaint. In reviewing our records, the transaction in question is a recurring transaction, authorized by you, which has been posting to your account for several months. When a dispute was initiated on the most recent payment, we requested documentation to show your revocation of said authorization to assist you further. Your refusal to provide this information has limited our ability to assist you with next steps. Please know, we are happy to continue helping you with this concern as soon as the requested documentation is presented. We remain committed to addressing any questions you may have and thank you for reaching out.
