    Advertising Review:

    On November 11, 2021, BBB serving Eastern Michigan and Upper Peninsula requested the business substantiate, modify, or discontinue claims advertised on the company website, https://www.1upgamesbc.com/. The business website advertises a "30-day Satisfaction Guarantee", a "90-day Warranty", and "Lifetime Warranty". As of February 10, 2022, the business failed to respond to our requests.

    According to the BBB Code of Advertising, when an advertisement references a warranty or guarantee the business must make the complete details available to consumers prior to purchase, either through its website, store, or by phone or mail. When the term "satisfaction guarantee" is advertised, the business should give a full refund if the customer is not satisfied.

    BBB Code of Advertising Section 20. Warranties or Guarantees: 20.1 When using the term “warranty” or “guarantee” in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location, viewed on the advertiser’s website or, in the case of mail or telephone order sales, made available free on written request. 20.2 Advertisers should only use “satisfaction guarantee,” “money back guarantee,” “free trial offer,” or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request. 20.3 When “satisfaction guarantee” or similar representations are used in advertising, any material limitations or conditions that apply to the guarantee must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed. 20.4 When advertising “lifetime” warranties or guarantees or similar representations, the advertisement must clearly and conspicuously disclose its intended meaning of the term “lifetime.” 20.5 Sellers or manufacturers should advertise that a product or service is warranted or guaranteed only if the seller or manufacturer promptly and fully performs its obligations under the warranty or guarantee.

      Bought a PS2. Got it home. Does NOT WORK had to take back 2 days later and it worked just fine there. Get it home again worked for about 15 minutes. I live approximately an hour away And all they can offer is store credit. What a joke! So disappointed in this company. I would advise against going there...buyer beware.

If the PS2 is reading our discs but not one of yours then it could be an issue with that game. We are more than happy to assist you with repairing the disc if there are scratches preventing it from playing correctly. Regarding our refund policy, we understand your concerns. Our policy is to offer store credit and it's stated on every receipt, but we want to make things right for you. The next time you're able to come back please bring any games with you that are having issues and we will work with you to find a satisfactory solution, including the possibility of a refund.Your satisfaction is important to us, and we value your continued patronage.
