I had auto insurance through Geico and I was paying $148 per month. I was contacted by AAA claim to be able to save me some money. They quoted me $118 per month and claimed it would be even less if I got my father to switch his renters policy. They also said that I need to have AAA membership in order to get that rate for $52 per month. So I did all of these things, got my father to switch and got the membership. About a week later I got a letter from them saying that my insurance was doubled. I contacted them and they said that it was because I failed to fill out some paperwork, which I did not. I filled out all of my paperwork from the beginning along with the insurance rep. ******** the representative said that I needed to fill out the *** form, so I did that. She said she would get it back down to the normal rate, although she did not. I got three more notices following that and my insurance rates were all different quotes. Then I spent a whole afternoon collecting documents from my previous insurance, only for them to call me back and say that my insurance was more. This insurance company has put me and my father through so much stress, time lost and Im stuck paying more money And have a membership that I do not need. Due to all of this, it created a lapse in my insurance, so my insurance for other companies is now skyrocketed.
