Maytag is complete garbage, I purchased a top load washer (MVW7230HW0) and installed and started using it in DEC of 2020. It is only 3.5 years old and in that time I have had to replace the clutch, circuit board, transmission, clutch coil, and repair the wire harness twice. There was a time when the name Maytag meant quality, but those days are long gone. Whirlpool acquired Maytag in 2006, not sure if that is why quality has declined or if it started prior but either way stay away from both products.

My Maytag washer (Model MVW7230HWI ) (serial # ********** is only 18 months old; I have had it serviced 8 times. This last time they broke the drum trying to get to the part they were going to replace. So, the repair company had to order a new drum (I have a service plan with AGI that another story) so covered under warranty. taking 3 weeks to get the part. This is so unacceptable. I have written to whirlpool and sent them documentation on all the repairs. I think I have a lemon. All I want is compensation.

Our whirlpool WDP540HAMZ dishwasher stopped fully working after 16 months. We followed numerous trouble shooting steps but nothing worked. They advised they would need to send a tech out but the cost for the tech and related work (if they could even fix it) would cost well over $300 which is 75% of what we paid for it. Based on the manual it appears the circulator pump is bad which isnt a simple fix for a homeowner. How is it ethical to sell a faulty product and then not fix it. Ive seen class action lawsuits in the past for whirlpool and wondering if this is the beginning of another.

I hate ********, their refrigerator are terrible. They tell you when you buy you have 5 year warranty on "certain" things but after 2 years and spending $2500 on their piece of s*** fridge already had issues with water leaking from bottom and ice building up. I tried trouble shooting multiple times and couldn't fix it so called customer service and they told me wasn't in my warranty so had to pay $250 for some knucklehead to come out and figure out issue which is condenser was frozen along with one of the pipes. Then last week my fridge light goes out and that cost $124 on their website to replace. At my last house I bought there was some older 20 year fridge and I never had single issue in 5 years that I lived there yet I buy brand new whirlpool fridge and have all these issues in under 3 years, F*** YOU whirlpool and your piece of s*** product you put out on market. Do NOT buying any whirlpool appliance you will deeply regret it like me

Please save your $$ don’t waste it on any new kitchen aid products. Worst customer service, every appliance since 2020 has broken at 2 year mark… warranty is only 1 year. Repairs cost $700 or more!! They offer you a 20% discount on purchasing a new product.. like someone would want any of their products after this experience. 5 appliances since 2020 all but 1 needed repairs within 2–3 years. Not wear and tear issues. Water lines being misaligned, chips malfunctioning etc.

On Wednesday, May 29,2024 I contacted Maytag, as my washer wasn't completing cycle, making loud noises, and appeared to be off balance. I purchased an extended warranty through Maytag. They assigned a repairman to come out on 05/31/24. Later that day I received a call from the appliance repair shop saying they were overbooked, it would be 06/06/24, before they could come out. The repairman came, said washer was unrepairable and it would be about two weeks before we heard anything. I called Maytag the week on June 17th, was told my extended warranty did not provide for a replacement only service and repair. She said parts had been ordered and as soon as they came in, the repairman would come back and fix it. Repairman came back on 07/01/24, we heard several booms, like something heavy was dropped. My husband went and checked, repairman was packing up to leave and had started a cycle, my husband saw water coming out from bottom of washer and told repairman, who stopped machine and then said he needed to order more parts. I called Maytag on 07/01/24, they said we would need to give repair shop 24-48 hours to respond. I then called repair shop and was told parts were ordered and when she had a tracking number, she'd call me. Today is July 10th. I haven't heard a word from either Maytag or repair shop. I have been without a washer, driving 9 miles one way to nearest laundry mat, since 05/29/24. Words can't describe my frustration. This is totally unacceptable.

I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. Product is still under warranty but they will not come fix my unit, instead they ordered parts and sent them to me like I really have the time to sit and fix it with the hours I work

This company is shameful. They will do everything they can to skirt responsibility for their defective products and provides the worst level of customer service that I have witnessed in my entire life.I have had a washer for 4 months and it failed 2 weeks ago. It has acted off since I got it, but is unusable at this point. My washer is covered under the 1 year limited warranty, but Whirlpool is doing everything in their power to make this as hard as possible. They couldnt find a technician to come out and work on my washer, so they asked me to find one. I found one was quoted $375 for the diagnosis and repair. Whirlpool only wants to reimburse $200. There isnt a place in existence that could diagnose and repair all the failures with the machine for $200. This doesnt include the parts (nearly $400 worth), whirlpool wants to provide those but several parts are on back order and may take 7-14 business days to come in. It may take an additional 7-10 business days for the parts to be shipped to me. I may be without a washer for another month if a solution isnt met but Whirlpool shows very little interest in helping. I talked to a lead from escalation yesterday and he was incredibly rude and disrespectful with me as soon as I got on the phone with him. Its awful dealing with Whirlpools untrained and uninformed employees who give you the run around, but this level of meanness and cruelty from management was unbelievable. These people dont want to help. I think they aim to frustrate and cause enough h*** in your life so you take the loss, buy a new machine and skip the process of getting repairs done.Oh and the first person I talked to when this happened asked me what happened to my prior washer. She wanted to know why I didnt get it fixed. It was 15 years old. She asked if I had an accident with my machine, or purposely did something to it. Stay away from Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid and Maytag products unless you want to deal with the consequences.

0/5 stars. Have had problems with new Maytag dryer (owned by Whirlpool) right out of the box. ***** wouldnt return it to exchange on day 4 after purchase, so have had to have control panel replaced, main controls, now thermocoupler needs to be replaced. This will be the actual 4th visit to my home for a dryer I paid 850$ on sale and have used less than 15 times. Whirlpool and their appliance company keep telling me they have no authority to approve a replacement given the number of hours of wasted time for appointments and undry laundry Ive wasted. The appliance company tells me the first tech didnt call the problem in to the whirlpool master tech to put it on record as a repair, so it doesnt count in service visits theyve provided to me and he is unwilling to take steps to notify his company management that it should have been done for the benefit of a proper record at Whirlpool. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new dryer to AVOID WHIRLPOOL AND MAYTAG at all costs if this is the customer service they provide. They send appliance company out that never has the parts on the truck resulting in the need to wait nearly 2 weeks for a return visit every time you need them for servicing the appliance. I would rather walk away from this product at this point ( which is what they hope you will do I suspect), and go to a manufacturer that cares about customer retention. I will avoid Lowes and Whirlpool/Maytag going forward, and will make sure to tell EVERYONE I know to do the same because of the hassle this has been.
