Im currently employed with American House in Jenison **. I was supposed to have a check deposited in my account on April ********. They deposited it to an account that dont exist at my bank. Manager of the bank also let them know. But the company is refusing to re issue me a check for my wages earned till they get a check back from wherever they sent it to. As all my bills are due befor the 6th of every mth. I now have a late charge attached to my rent that was due yesterday. But they say they cant help me.Initial Complaint

I am a daughter of parents that live at the American House Cedarlake Independent Senior Living in Plainfield, IllinoisThey have been there 2 1/2 years This past year they dont have help in the kitchen or housekeeping help. They are suppose to receive 2 meals a day 7 days a week in the dining room, but have not. I understand the issue with places unable to staff But this place had people working there for a long time and quit! Every time they hire they quit! So there is more to it then money and COVID! There is something going on that we dont know about and must be the conditions! However, most of the year they have had to eat in their rooms with food delivered in styrofoam due to no kitchen staff!!! Still not eating everyday in dining room and now all kitchen staff has quit except one and the front office staff have been working in the kitchen and serving the food!!!! But now eating again in rooms and styrofoam due to no staff! Food is awful and half the time dont receive their full meal!In regards to housekeeping they are suppose to have rooms cleaned twice a month!!! What a joke 2 housekeepers for the whole place They are lucky they get their rooms cleaned at all!! My parents did not have their room cleaned the whole month of December. That is a sanitary issue along with Covid!!!! But we pay a caretaker to help them and she cleans but the other residents who knows! This is also happening on the assisted living side as well!These seniors pay a lot to live there And now they have the nerve to increase their rent 6%!!! They have not been receiving any benefits they pay for and have not for over a year!! Where did all the money go because they have not been paying help for over a year! Lack of activities! Suppose to have a nurse available but have not for about 1. 1/2 years.We have spoken to upper management and they do nothing! So these seniors are being taken advantage! They need a refund for last year of services not received and not 6% increase in their rent!
