I recently purchased a custom finished wood slab piece from this company to be used for a table. When receiving the custom product and reviewing it, the underside of the piece was found to have approximately 31 holes that were clearly tooled using a drill that measure roughly 1.25" deep. When I reached out the the manager/owner their initial response was that they found legs that looked better so they had to drill more holes. However, I did not order legs from them at all and nowhere in the invoice or description or emails did anyone say that any holes would be drilled into this. I expected to receive this custom piece from Makarios, aka shopmakarios in great condition and without holes drilled into this piece that I paid over $1200 for. He then offered to send me epoxy to fill the holes. I explained that this was not satisfactory and then he offered for me to send this back for them to fill the holes and send back to me and that was his "final offer" other than referring me to their terms of service. So to recap, I purchased a custom piece from Makarios, aka shopmakarios and I received it with around 31 holes drilled in the underside of it, was told to use epoxy or I could send back to have them do it, when I did not spend $1200 on a custom piece of wood with holes drilled into it. The owner accused me of "trying to hustle money" out of them. This is clearly their mistake and I spend a fortune on this and did not expect this nor the response I received. So now I am stuck with this slab of wood and told to get the 31 holes filled with epoxy and deal with it essentially. Makarios at shopmakarios

We offered this customer a full fix of the issue to an above level industry fix and finish. He denied us the chance to fix his issue - The top of the piece and all sizes were of perfection. The customer is upset by the underside that will not be seen and covered up by the plates on the legs. This customer wrote us with this response: "What I am saying is that you could offer me $10,000 and a brand new piece at this point and it doesn't matter." Its unfortunate to deal with a customer who has become so focused on - "give me exactly what I am requesting, and money back - or else ill smear bad reviews all over the internet". We stand behind our product line and our ability to fix issues. Thank you.
