I signed an estimate with Michigan *********************************************** Care on 10/5/23 for grout cleaning and minor grout touch-up in two bathrooms. *****, the owner, persuaded me to replace the grout completely on the master shower floor, citing speed, cost, and showed pictures of showers he had upgraded previously. We had no issues with the shower other than dirty grout prior to working with Michigan Stone.During the initial visit on 10/24, two tiles were cracked; a risk I was not warned about prior to the work beginning. I would have not proceeded with the replacement if warned. After the visit on 10/24, the shower floor grout did not lighten to the color that was shown or anticipated. We had ***** out again on 11/9 to rectify. During this visit, a chunk of tile was completely broken off and lost, with the recommendation to "fill it in with some grout". This would not look aesthetically pleasing and poses a risk of future water damage. He also suggested attempting to find a matching tile, but we ultimately asked ***** to stop all work as we could not trust that the repairs would be completed properly or by the appropriate standards based on previous failures and damages. The shower has been unusable since 10/24. It may go into **** until the shower is fully repaired and usable again, based on scheduling with a new contractor.I received a $205 refund on 11/9; however, I have since received quotes for repair/replacement related to the damage caused by Michigan *********************************************** Care, and it is going to cost potentially thousands of dollars to repair the floor and waterproofing properly.I would like Michigan *********************************************** Care to claim this damage through insurance to pay for the damage, repair/replacement, and significant time lost.If an insurance claim is not possible to compensate for this loss, I would like to request a full refund for the remainder of what I paid 10/24, which would be an additional $490. This will help recoup some of the costs for the repairs.

I recently hired Michigan Stone and Surface Care in ******, Michigan, to power wash and stain my deck, and I couldn't be happier with the results! The team was professional, punctual, and highly skilled. They meticulously power washed every inch of the deck, removing all the grime and buildup, and then applied the stain evenly, giving the deck a beautiful, refreshed look. The quality of their work exceeded my expectations, and their attention to detail was impressive. I highly recommend Michigan Stone and Surface Care for anyone needing deck maintenance or other surface care services. Great job!
