Hello,I have been attempting to get an appointment with my primary care provider, but ************************** Sparrow Health has denied me access. My primary care provider is listed on my insurance. They are new to me because I had to switch when I went from student insurance to employee insurance. I selected my PCP through my insurance as they were local, and accepting new patients. All I am attempting to do is schedule an appointment as it has been a while since I have had a physical, I am struggling from chronic shoulder pain (over a year), and I need help with my unhealthy weight. However, agents at the ************************** Sparrow Health claim that I do not have a PCP despite my providing them with documented proof through my insurance.I wish to have an appointment booked immediately (next week) before I leave town for a conference. If I am being denied because Sparrow Health is now owned by the **********************, and I am a ************************* employee, I as well as all employees at MSU need to know.Thank you

      (1) Sparrow billed free post-op as standard office visit. My ins paid $45.72, leaving $20 copay. My med records for the 6/2/22 visit prove it was post-op for surgery by **************** 12/5/2021. Sparrow should refund $ my ins paid, write off the $20, and send me stmt showing $0 due. (2) Referred to collection agency before sending an invoice or monthly stmts. On 1/23/2023, I spoke with Supervisor ******. She said alleged *************** were sent to old address, where I havent lived over 5 yrs. When I earlier spoke to collection agency, they said they get addresses from ******************* ******* notice was sent to correct address. I asked ****** to send copies of the *************** address where they were sent & actual dates mailedbut she said that was impossible. Sparrow never sent proof they mailed invoices or statements to me. ****** told me they would pull the account back from collections, but havent sent proof they have or that my credit isnt marred.(3) ****** said it was impossible to bill my post-op correctly because of the computer and I had to pay the $20. Then I received a stmt showing current charges (**** days) $20. ******* supervisor, *******, said he would pull my acct so I didnt get another stmt. But in Feb, I received a 2nd stmt showing $20 past-due ***** days. I havent had a past-due bill in 40 years. Sparrow must correct records so my credit reports wont show past-due amounts. (4) 5 MSU doctors were lured to quit & work for Sparrow in 2022: ******, Shingles, *******, ********** *********** Sparrow said if surgery was at MSU, & post-ops were later at ******************* the Sparrow computer couldnt bill post-ops correctly. Those 5 doctors had many post-ops after they moved to Sparrow for surgeries they did at MSU. Sparrow should check office visits by these doctors for at least 3 months after transfer to find other patients incorrectly billed, & refund money incorrectly paid by ************** for post-ops.

This issue has been ongoing since around 2016. Sparrow health system allows **** ******'s ex wife, ****** ********** to put bills in his name without his consent. In 2018 we spoke with sparrows CFO, Kevin S***** and he did this issue would be resolved. In sept 2020 more bills at a large amount were again put into **** ******'s name. It took many calls to get the issue resolved, again being told this wouldn't happen again. In Sept 2021 more bills we put into ****s name. Several calls were made to Sparrows customer service with noting being done. Emails were also sent regarding this issue. We asked for detailed account statements and were told we would need to get a lawyer to request them. Accounts have been sent to collections that we have no knowledge of and has harmed ****'s credit. Sparrow seems unwilling to follow their own billing procedures of billing the parent that brings in the child.
