In January, ******* (*****) ******* gave us a quote to paint the entire inside of our lake house. (See attached contract). I sent ***** a check for $2,000.00 for the deposit for the paint job, which he received and cashed. He was supposed to start in January but told me he was sick so we set a new date for February. He didn't show up again but told me his daughter was in an accident but was doing fine. He told me he was going to start this time in February. Again he did not show up. Now he does not answer my phone calls. I have called him many times and he doesn't pick up his phone. I have *****'s wife's phone number. So the end of March, I called *****'s wife. She answered her cell phone and then I ********************* say to his wife, "if that is a 630-area code don't answer it." Then she hung up on me. Next, my neighbor who lives two houses over from our lake house used ***** for painting her barn. She called him twice last week for me but he doesn't return her phone calls either.
