We had a horrible experience with the hotel. And what is concerning now is that the ** called me not to listen to my concerns instead to listen to his as he claims his employees was harassed by us. In addition he is fabricating a story of threading involved and now this is escalating by him saying that.Initial Complaint

Stayed at AmericInn 10/1/22. Room smelled of dog; turned on a/c and left immediately for wedding. That evening the room had other issues: Linen on beds dirty (stains and particles), bathroom floor and tub not clean. No stopper in tub. ****** ran- had to remove lid from back and fill using wastebasket in sink, dresser piece fell off when drawer opened, room still smelled of dog. I told night desk who said there were no other rooms. Informed desk when leaving and response was "are you checking out?". Emailed manager, ***********************, who responded telling me I should have said something at the time, so there is nothing he can do. I responded telling him I did; have not had response to that email, attempted to call **** multiple times "box full". Contacted ******* and after multiple phone calls and supplying them with a copy of my bank statement; they offered me points toward stay or $100; told me a refund "isn't fair, because you did stay there"; suggested I keep trying with hotel directly and gave me owner email. I have emailed **********************, ****************** twice, no repsonse. I have spoken to multiple staff (*******, *******, *********, **** and *******, sr. ******** mgr) who indicate they can not help me- have to reach ****. The room condition was bad enough, then the lack of concern or attempt to rectify by staff, manager and owner seems to be deliberate. I have spent hours simply trying to sort this out. The manager and owner have not returned calls or emails, staff are unable or unwilling to do anything. Now, I would like a refund of my $276.93. I can supply bank statement if necessary, but they certainly should have record of my payment.
