Last June 2022 we (my colleaque and I) from ************ *********, ** purchased an ISUZU NRR Truck with the ****************** hook system and (2) 13 yd dumpsters. We pd about $115,000. It was a 12 hour ride oneway.Before we drove off the lot they reviewed the operation of the equipment with us. The facts are that there was no equipment checklist. The most important item that was not mentioned was the *** switch. This switch needs to be turned ON only when you are using the dumpster. And if you don't, the pump will sieze.In Feb 2023 we brought the truck for warranty servicing and oil change. I asked the mechanic about the oil leaks and why the oil tank for the *** was so warm. He said that was due to the fact that we did not turn off *** pump and hence it siezed. The ***** repair bill was: $4664.30. Breakdown as follows: $1950.96 (Pump); $1792.59 (Labor to repair truck) and $920.75 (Diagnostics). The mechanic from RMS Truck Bodies in *********** ** improved the design of the system by adding a solenoid. Therefore, If the driver forgets to turn off the *** switch it will automatically turn off the *** after you drive over 5mph. Great IDEA and I would highly recommend RMS. We called the Sales Manager at Quality Truck to help us with this problem and he did arrange for us to find us the pump. That was all the help that they provided. They did not offer any further assistance and did not offer to help us to off set the costs. There should have been a more formalized checklist and they did NOT emphasize how important it is to make sure that the *** switch should be turned off when you are not using the dumpster. For such an expensive piece of equipment there should have been a more formal checklist so the customer is fully aware of how to operate the equipment. I would not recommend them at all!
