            This is the third attempt to obtain a resolution to my complaint; the previous complaints can provide the timing and financial data. In summary, in July of 2021 I paid MI Brick to renovate the front steps to my home. This involved installation of 9 lights in brick steps to my front entry. The work was initially completed satisfactorily, but the lights began to fail shortly after (the first one within a week). As of today 5 of the 9 no longer work. ************** of MI Brick made several promises to correct the problem that summer but did nothing. After my first complaint with the BBB he agreed to do the work and I agreed that was all I wanted. However, by that time it was too late in the year and we were going to ******* for the winter. He agreed to do the work when we returned this summer. I have not been able to reach him at either the company phone or his personal phone this summer. I filed a second complaint with the BBB but nobody has contacted me, so here is the third attempt.

            MI Brick failed to return our $3800 deposit when we cancelled the job. ********************* of MI Brick agreed in writing on our contract to refund us, but has failed to do so. I am going to small claims court (52nd District Court in Rochester) to recover our deposit. It should be a simple open and shut case that we will win. I would avoid doing business with them, there is some issue with this the previously successful Family owned business that is causing them to crash and burn. Check out the other comments on the BBB website concerning MI Brick. My story is shared by others of delay after delay and unreturned deposits.
