I had fully prepaid install of quartz countertops installed on 12/30/21. I called ahead to ask about protecting my newly installed flooring to assure they would not be damaged in the install process, asking if I should protect them or if they provide protection. They said their install guys know what they're doing and they do not put anything on floors. I was told not to put anything slippery down, like plastic tarps. I did ask about taping down protective construction floor paper and was told that would be fine. This is what I did the evening before they arrived. When install was seemingly complete and workers left, I started to clean up and pulled up the paper to sweep. While doing so, I discovered a gouge in a plank deep enough that it penetrated the protective barrier. I immediately called Signature Stone to let them know. They asked me to take pics and send so I did. They say their guys said they didn't remember dropping anything and I didn't let them know soon enough (really?, it's was within 30 minutes), so they don't feel they need to repair it. I even offered my own existing leftover materials to get the job done. They also did not reattach my dishwasher which falls out and tips when using it now. I was also willing to let an incorrect template issue go in this process. The stone was not cut properly to fit my existing front corner layout by my refrigerator. I was hoping my cabinet painters would be able to help with that issue rather than waiting for new stone. At this point, I'd prefer to have the correct stone piece as well.
