AccountAbility Solutions charged me $150 to do my 2022 taxes. I paid her, she confirmed she filed my taxes, but lo and behold: She did not. She just didn't do it and with no explanation why not. Just as bad: I referred 3 work friends to her. She totally flaked out on all of them. Very embarrassing. I did not know until starting my 2023 taxes that she completely failed to get my taxes filed. I've tried to contact her for an explanation but she has ghosted me and refused to answer what's happened.Initial Complaint

******* has done our taxes for years.My husband dropped off our tax paperwork 4 weeks ago and made an appointment for today, 04/09/2024 at 4pm. He showed up for the appointment but she didn't answer the door or the phone. She hasn't responded to his texts over the past several weeks. I tried messaging her through her website, as well. She just isn't responding now she's blowing off appointments and has all of our paperwork and tax day is 6 days away!!Customer response

My husband received a message from ******* this morning stating she's been having domestic issues & to contact her estranged husband to try to get our information back. This is unacceptable!!!! It's unfortunate she's having these issues in her personal life but it doesn't release her from her accountability in this situation. I will be notifying the **** She says she's still doing taxes but not ours because her husband has our information. I hold her responsible. She is the business owner. She's done our taxes for years. She apparently left him in November but didn't bother to update her clients on any changes in procedure. Now we have to try to chase down her ex husband just some random guy with all of our private information. You bet the *** is getting notified.Customer response

We got our paperwork back on 4/12. Tax day is 4/15. We have to file an extension because at this late date of course everyone is booked.
It's completely unprofessional for her website to be active & setting up appointments when she isn't available. Her drop box is also still up.
Thank you for your help. The BBB is the only reason we got a response from her.

This accountant charged me $100 and NEVER FILED the tax for me!!!She convinced me that she did file my 2021 tax but recently after I checked on the *** website I realized that she never filed the tax for me!!!I asked for the $100 back and she just ignored my emails.NEVER consult this accountant to file the tax!!! Your Homestead is tax exempt.Income Tax Return Income Tax Refund ************* $***** Corrected $0 Property Tax Property Tax Credit ************* *****. Corrected $0 My complaint is that I called her to ask what happens next. Do we redo the taxes. I paid her $100.00 for her services. She will not answer the phone. On April 15,2022 I contacted AccountAbility solutions to prepare and electronically file 2021 Taxes for myself and wife (Married Filing Joint). *********************************** (accountant w/ company) had prepared and filed previous taxes for me and was hired to file 2021 taxes and all documentation required was provided to ******************. After several weeks of no contact I reached out on several occasions from May through July for an update. On July 5, 2022 she finally sends an email with a confirmation # from TaxAct with confirmation my 2021 taxes were electronically filed and accepted on 5/14/2022.Since this notification, I have been attempting to find the status on my refund on the *** website, app, and calling and am being told that the information Im providing to the ***, which was provided from TaxAct and Accountability Solutions doesnt match.I reached out to TaxAct with the submission ID number from the electronic filing and because AccountAbility solutions prepared my taxes, they (TaxAct) can only discuss issues with *****************************. Since this time, I have sent several emails, text messages and voicemails to ******************************* to help me resolve the issue and to provide me access to the online portal sobI can review my 2021 Tax documents.****************** has been unresponsive and only responded to a text message I sent on October 1, 2022 with Ill get to you today.Today is October 24th, and after several other calls, emails, and text messages she still has not yet returned my call or emails for assistance.I paid her in full for my services and as an accountant I expect her to be responsive to all of my questions and concerns and to assist me when I need it.I still have not received anything from the ***, no actual confirmation that the *** received my files taxes and Im worried without this being resolved before the 2022 tax season which is quickly approaching will cause issues.Please help.Initial Complaint

After I paid ******* $1000 for a tax service (s corp election), she stopped responding to my multiple texts, emails and phone calls over the next few months about the status of this job. After I requested a refund for the job she did not do (over 3 months after payment was delivered), she spun a web of lies and even created false documents and confirmations to try to prove her narrative that she did, in fact, get the job done. I had to get in contact with the **** a team of CPAs and the state to untangle the truth from the lies. Even with multiple confirmations of her ***************** ******* has continued to lie and will not refund my payment of $1000.As someone who owns their own small business, it was a complete nightmare. ******* is offering to redo and resubmit the forms, but my trust has been completely violated and I do not believe she actually knows how to file these forms accurately after talking to multiple CPAs. All I want is my money back since I have to pay to do the process all over again.
