I purchased a vehicle from this business in September of 2023 and had it delivered to my home in *********. I made the purchase based on an advertisement by the company displayed on Auto Trader.com. After conversations with the salesman (both via email and phone) I was assured that the vehicle was as listed in the ad; when the vehicle arrived I realized that the car was a different model than advertised. It was stated to have an upgraded factory performance package, but it did not. This package changes the *** value of the car by approximately $5000.The car also will not pass **************** testing. After multiple attempts to resolve this with the dealer, they have done nothing and now are refusing to return any phone calls.

      Hello ****,

The vehicle you purchased came with the Z51 Appearance Package, and was advertised as such. The vehicle was advertised with all the aftermarket exhaust components that came included such as the **** COLD AIR INTAKE, ARMYTRIX FULL EXHAUST, AFTERMARKET HEADERS", not the stock exhaust needed for emissions. As you were aware, The ***************** does not require emissions testing for vehicles, so that is an issue your home state is presenting. If we can assist you with that process please be in touch.

      Complaint: 20759718

I am rejecting this response because:

The vehicle did not have the Z51 package that was advertised. This results in a $4000 discrepancy of Blue Book value.

There was no mention of "Z51 'appearance' package."

I have emails from ************* assuring me it was a Z51 model.  This is unacceptable.

      Sincerely,

      *********************

      ****,

Once again we are sorry you feel this way. The vehicle was advertised by the *** as a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette 2DR Stingray Coupe w/LT. That is how the vehicle was listed and how it shows up on the purchase forms you signed. At the time of purchase the **** was $52350, you paid $52000 for the vehicle.

      Complaint: 20759718

I am rejecting this response because:

That is an outright lie. The vehicle was advertised, and confirmed through text and voice that it was equipped with the Z51 premium package.  You obviously have access to your original listing; I don't understand your denial of this fact. I have the text messages from ************* stating that it even had magnetic ride control. Your response is untrue, unethical and absurd.

      Sincerely,

      *********************

I do not have a picture of the original sales ad.

I trusted the dealership to list their vehicle correctly, and didn't think to document anything. Apparently I was too trusting, and in assuming the advertisement was accurate was a mistake on my part.

I spoke directly with the salesman, and he assured me multiple times that the ad was correct.

I live **** miles from the place of business and was not able to physically inspect the vehicle.

It shouldn't be a question that a business dealing with vehicles on the internet and with a business license would stand behind their product.

They're denial of this OBVIOUS mistake on their part is despicable.
