Massage Green recently changed to Hand and Stone Massage in *******************. My wife and I have $155 worth of gift cards to Massage Green and were told by the Hand and Stone we visited, they could honor them if they showed in their system. When they did not show, we were given the name and email of a gentleman from Massage Green Corporate to contact and inquire about a refund. It was a gentleman named ************************* who I have emailed several times over the past 2 weeks with no response. I have also attempted to contact him via LinkedIn as well as emailing a generic info email address for Massage Green with no luck.

I received a Massage Green Spa gift card from my daughter. At the time I was not able to make an appointment immediately so I called and was told that card does not expire. When I went to use it recently I found that there is only one remaining location in **. When I contacted that location they said they would not honor the card and gave me a number to call. The number they gave me was a Hand and Stone Spa location who also indicated that they would not honor the card. They gave me a corporate number, the same one listed on the BBB website, and like all of the other complaints when you call this number you get a recording and no matter what option you pick you are placed in the same voicemail box and told it can't accept messages and then that an error has occurred and finally you are disconnected. I would like for the card to honored for services or for $100 to be refunded to either myself or my daughter.

This company is a scam. They had a monthly subscription service to prepay for massages. Company randomly closed down, no refund for massages previously paid for, no prior notice. Their location was replaced by another massage business, who says that the prepaid massages should have transferred. Yet they have no record of any previous clients. When you call the only Massage Green location still open in ********, they give you a corporate number. To which no one ever answers. You are prompted to leave a voicemail, but then the message always says you are unable to leave a message due to an error having occurred, then the call is dropped.

My husband bought a gift card for me to Massage Green ***************. I called to schedule an appointment and they have permanently closed. No one else will honor the gift card. I want my money back. Its not good business to collect money and then shut down abruptly.

I purchase a $150 gift card for my mom on Mother's day 5/11/2023. She went in to use it and was told they would not accept it. For her to contact Massage Green Corporate. When asked for the contact info, they explained they do not have a phone number and they have been also trying to get ahold of someone and is not getting a response. Something about they wont release the corporate funds. I want the $150.00 back. No way of reaching anyone, no call backs, nothing.

I have a gift card for $70 to use at a Massage Green however all the Massage Greens have either closed or transferred to a new name of Hand and Stone. I was told the gift card must be used at the location purchased, which is the Shelby ******** location, which is now permanently closed. Calling the Shelby ******** location, and the corporate office is of no help as there is no answer to the phones. It is not good faith business practice to say they will honor a gift card only to have the location closed and no other locations accept the gift card. I am looking for some type of reimbursement of the gift card or at least to be able to use it at one of the other open locations. I was never notified that the Massage Green was going out of business or being bought under a new company name nor was I notified that the gift cards must be used by the end of this calendar year 2023.

In April 2023, I took a job in **************. I had a membership with Green Spa, Hand and Stone Message and Facial Spa in ****************, **. I have a credit of over $800. I called and asked for a refund and was told I could gift them to someone or try and find other locations across the U.S but they wouldnt refund my money. This is a poor business practice.

I have been trying to get a hold of someone from the corporate office for over a year. I have a $50 gift card for massage services that I was unable to use due to the location in ******* being closed during the pandemic and then closed permanently having never reopened after the pandemic. There are no longer any locations anywhere near my location. **************** is completely non-existent. I have tried for well over a year to contact someone at the corporate office. They do not answer emails and do not answer the phone. The voicemail box has never accepted messages and I only get a message saying that the voicemail is full. I have even tried contacting several of the very few remaining locations via ******** to try getting information on how to actually get a hold of someone in corporate, but nothing has worked. I don't feel that it is fair for me to be out $50 because all of the local locations packed it in forever after the pandemic. From the looks of things as I have been trying to get a hold of them, my problem is not an isolated incident. Corporate is hiding from those that they should be serving.

Deceptive billing practices. My membership was billed on 2/1/23, with the understanding that I could use the membership price for the entire month, even though I had to cancel the membership on 2/17/23. When using their services today, was told that it would be an extra $30, because now I was considered a "non-member", and that the extra charge was "in the fine print" of the contract. Buyer beware! There are more reputable places out there.
