      A worker came to my door on August 20th stating they were from DTE and asked to see my bill to lower my rates and to get me to sign a form in order to do so. I later found out that the form was to switch providers, which we were not informed of, and that the worker was not with DTE. I do not want to switch from DTE and want the contract terminated because I was lied to, misinformed, and pressured by the worker that came to my door.

      I had someone come knock on my door for Ardent saying they wanted to do a pricing verification audit for my gas billI asked them to see credentials from consumers energy, they said they provided gas to consumers energy which is false. I asked for credentials and he just showed me an Ardent badge and wanted to see our gas bill. The form he had was to switch us providers. This tactic is scam behavior and not truthful. It appears that this is the standard way of scamming people to switch to their services as all above complaints also mention.

      Merely forwarding this to your sales team does not show me that you are discontinuing utilizing predatory sales tactics. I want to know what you sales team is doing to train their staff not to lie to people at the door and how they are going to be transparent in the future that they are not associated with consumers energy, that they are actively enrolling people in a new gas provider. Its not merely an audit.

      A Worker came to my door on June 28th and made me feel pressured into filling out the form. I thought he was part of DTE and he made it sound like I had to fill the form or he would keep coming back. I noticed his Ardent badge and looked it up. I do NOT want to switch to Ardent gas. Please cancel contract before it's submitted. I have emailed same request to NOT switch to ardent gas. I feel I was scammed. It's bad business. PLEASE CANCEL CONTRACT!!

      A sales representative from Ardent came to by door on May 23rd. He was posing as a DTE employee who was checking meters and needed to make a price adjustment. He lied about being with DTE in order for me to sign a document, that supposedly would lower the price of natural gas which we were being supplied. Luckily I caught some things that said Ardent and was able to look them up. Flat out lying about what you are doing is extremely unethical and a shameful way to do business. I expect any current or potential account with ********************** to be canceled immediately as I do not wish to switch natural gas suppliers. I have contacted Ardent via phone, email, and through their website to have this handled. I expect a prompt response by them to cancel a service they lied about to get.

      A representative wearing consumers energy badge is scamming through our neighborhood. I didnt realize it was Ardent natural gas trying to switch my provider. They made me sign it quickly. I would like that revoked since it was under duress. It will cost me 100 to switch and that is not right

      Two men came to my door July 2023 Sold me on lower gas cost from Ardent gas vs SEMCO my current gas provider. Based on billing cycles it may take 1-2 billing periods for the change to occur. With every enrollment, a welcome letter and terms and conditions are sent explaining the company and program.       Two Ardent Reps came to my door and told me they were from "the gas company", I said "consumers?" and they nodded. They never identified themselves as being from Ardent or any other company. They had no logos or insignias on their clothing, paperwork, or clipboard. I knew of these scams & said I didn't want to switch companies and they assured me that nothing would change, my bills would still from consumers. I was under the impression that I was signing up to have my meter read more often, not switching gas companies. I did not want to switch companies!!! My bill has increased dramatically, despite our gas use remaining the same.

      An enrollment was submitted to Ardent Natural Gas on 2/21/23. A welcome letter and terms and conditions were sent to the customer after that. ********************** received a voicemail afterhours on 1/4/24 requesting a cancellation and an email via the website on 1/4/24. Customer received a return phone call on 1/5/24 and voicemail was left confirming the cancellation request was received and would be submitted. Cancellation was submitted on 1/5/24 and confirmed on 1/8/24. A cancellation confirmation email was sent on 1/9/24.       A few months back 2 men knocked on my door saying they were with **************** and wanted to help lower costs of my natural gas since it seemed people in my neighborhood were being overcharged. Not once was I told that I would be switching natural gas suppliers when I provided them with information. I thought it was fishy but being scatter brained I talked to them and showed them my SEMCO. Not once in our conversation did they disclose that providing this information would switch companies. I did not and do not want to be with Ardent for my natural gas. I am now reading that this has happened to many people. I only just now noticed the change of supplier because I had a decent amount of credit on my account and my bill was small due to mild weather. The first charge to ardent showed on my bill due Nov. 28, 2023 as a fee of $22.53 and showed again on my bill due Dec. 27, 2023 with a fee of $82.30. I DO NOT want Ardent as my supplier, I want switched back to Consumers and I want to be put on their do not contact list!

      An enrollment was received on 9/28/23 and a welcome letter and terms and conditions was sent on 9/28/23. The cancellation was submitted per an email request to Ardent Natural Gas on 12/28/23 and confirmed on 12/29/23. A confirmation email was sent on 12/29/23.We have added the address to our Do Not Contact List per customer request.       An ardent employee knocked on my door claiming he works with ***** and wants to help lower my energy bill. At the time it seemed all legit, but to find out with signing my name along with my semco account number, I was signing up to change my service to ardent. At no time did the worker tell me I would be switching when I signed my name. I wish the process to be reversed/cancelled. I do not want to change providers.
