I was on the **** for an apartment and came across the company mentioned. I toured an apartment, and went to go fill out an application. With the application being filled out I was told to pay about $1,000 to hold the apartment with my pre approval. I had given them the money two days later and they continued my application, it was later denied. At that point I was told k could get a refund. The leasing agent still took me to view another apartment, which I was willing to do whilst they still have the $1,000. At that point, I liked the apartment and submitted an application for it. That was at the end of February. Today, I am still working with them to try and hurry me into an apartment. Ive never been leased an apartment I had to put a down payment for without actually being approved. I feel manipulated. They have my money and barely communicate with me, and if we do communicate I am the one who is calling. Im so frustrated and stressed out also because my lease has been up for over a month in my current apartment. I would like my money back and this business reported for taking money from a potential tenant without them having an approval, while also stringing them along a process for another apartment.

Upon going through this leasing company I read conflicting reviews. However their overall review rating wasnt too bad. I was shown three apartments. I chose the first apartment and was told I needed to put in an application that was $100 per person that would be non refundable. I already knew that was insanely expensive. Next I was told that Id need to put down a holding deposit so that the apartment wouldnt be shown while my application was being processed. I was told this would take 3 days. After almost an entire week I had heard nothing even after texting and calling. When I finally got a hold of someone (that was not the leasing agent I had gone through) I was told my application had been approved and that is heard back the next day about a lease signing and move in date upon repairs that were being made to the unit. I was then called three days later saying the apartment had been rented to someone else. I was then offered several other much worse looking apartments even after asking to be refunded my deposit several times. Eventually I said no enough times that they finally offered to refund me my deposit but kept my application fee of course. This is exactly what every bad review says about these people. Basically they bait a nice apartment to get you to pay for the application fees. Then they lie and say the apartment isnt available so that you feel forced into leasing another apartment while they hold your deposit captive. There are multiple reviews just like what Ive written here. After doing a little more research I found an acquaintance that worked for them several years ago. They explained to me that their process is 100% a scam. That they say their application fees are for background checks and they never do. They also show apartments that are already unavailable just to get money out of people. It seems as those theyve been doing this for nearly a decade and have not been flagged.
