March 3rd 2023, My 2 adult children were home at the time I needed plumbing service due the fact that someone 18 yrs had to be home while I work. Due to my basement having a slow drain I needed service from a plumber to snake my drain I got intouch with a program from DTE for plumbing protection whom sent an employee from Detroit furnace heating and cooling he ***** proceeds to do the job he says he snaked out 60ft of line but had to stop due to something being caught . He tries to retrieve the snake coil but he could only bring it back 15ft so he cuts it off with a drill saw which my children witnessed ***** never called me to tell me about the problem I had to call ***** to get an understanding so he tells me the line was stuck So he couldn't charge me for the service because now it needs to be excavated to be removed . So I called my insurance company.. on may 5th 2023 they sent me ******* and sons plumbing an employee by the name of ****** to see if he could find a resolution as a second opinion but he says he couldn't approach the job due to a third party snake so I called ***** again and he gave me his supervisors number named ****************************** comes and claims he tried to remove the snake but since he can't I need to come up with **** for them to excavate to remove their snake . All I'm asking for is some type of help to get the snake which has caused me more problems with my home being inhabitable and I have a 5 month old baby in the home and I also have children who can't understand why they are limited to using water. But like ******* from Detroit furnace has said he can't satisfy everyone .. it's just not fair to leave a humble and patient customer this way because I have no money to pay them to remove their equipment which they left in my sewer line which now is clogged I just need the snake removed to get my claim started to replace whatever plumbing needs to be replaced and it's at no out of pocket cost for me.

Detroit furnace were called by DTE to check on my furnace. The service call was made to check the inducer motor. On the 10th of October 2023 they sent a tech he claimed the whole furnace must be replaced. II was not home when they came so I called DTE again to have a senior tech come out to make sure the only option I had was to replace the furnace. They brought the same guy over and he started looking for a crack in the heat exchanger and didnt find one then fused to use the carbon monoxide meter to check and claimed that they already checked the carbon monoxide a week ago. I checked the carbon monoxide by myself and it was zeros. They were hell-bent on to find a crack so to replace the furnace.. I dont know what it was they were fishing for. The inducer motor was never fixed. Therefore, the furnace still wont start. Be aware of scammers!

We reviewed your profile and on both visits to your home, there was visible rusting and damage to the heat exchanger. When there is damage such as that with carbon monoxide levels above 10ppm, DTE does not cover repairs within the Home Protection Plan. Our technicians were simply following the guidelines set by DTE HPP. However, we as a company would be more than happy to quote you for repairs or replacement, but unfortunately the repairs are not covered by DTE in this particular case.
