On June 28th *** was contracted by ************************** to do some tree removal and maintenance on wooded property behind my home ******************* On this day your crew damaged 20ft of my fence. With 3 dogs that have free access. If I was not home and called into work I would have lost my 3 dogs and this matter could have gone way worse. When this took place there was no appointment made with me causing me to call into work. No appointment was made due to the contract stating access to my yard was NOT NEEDED. I was told at that time my fence would be replaced the same day. It was not due to your team not buying cement to fix the post. All other materials were purchased. Once the damage was done I was told that access to my yard was the only way this project would be able to be completed and that your team spoke with *******************. I agreed. In doing so your team drives a very large lift truck through my entire back yard causing large ruts throughout. *** finished what they thought was needed for the day and left me with a broken fence. I also told *** there were limbs that were missed and still needed to be removed. So on July 14 *** returned with a climber to finish the job. (Another missed day of work) On June 29 *** returned to fix my fence. (Another missed day of work) Still large ruts through my backyard. I was in contact with **** with *** *************) about the damage and he came out and measured I needed 6yds of soil, grass seed and straw to patch the damage. The *** team did not lay all 6yds of soil. Still leaving the damage to my yard. I had to purchase the materials to fix my yard correctly. I had to lose out on 4 missed days of work without pay, Purchased materials and provided the labor to fix the yard. Being inside my yard WAS NOT IN THE CONTRACT between you and Georgetown to do this job. I have been in contact with ******************* who hired you and she is stating that this is *** responsibility to make right and to reimburse me for my time missed from work due to *** damaging my property and ********* contract. All I am asking is for you to do THE RIGHT THING here. I really do not want to pursue legal actions in this matter. I just would like you to understand what happened and take care of your responsibility as *** is Licensed and Insured. Send a check in the amount of $1,660 for my 4 days missed from work. I will not ask for reimbursement of materials and labor to fix the damage to my yard correctly as a curiosity.

      Business response

      08/29/2023

All your concerns were addressed in a timely manner. No mention of your inability to go to work was voiced to anyone during our time completing the work. Your concerns were always our top priority, and this would have been if you would have voiced a concern about your ability to work. The community hired us to address your concerns with the trees along your property line and that was what we did.
