June 11 I had an appointment for my dog at 4:45 pm. Received a call from vet office at 4:00 stating *** was not comfortable giving shots due to his weight at last visit. I explained he has since then gained weight and I would like an opportunity for him to be seen. She then suggested again, okay but just letting you know incase he doesnt do the shots. A few months prior the dog was there for a grooming and had to be sedated and was given up to date shots. At this appointment I was notified that he was under weight and moving forward they could not sedate him any more (understandable. But nothing was said about normal vaccinations) he since then gained weight and theyre declining his vaccinations. Why would you sedate him and vaccinate when under weight but not do it once hes back in his normal weight profile. On top of the suggest they can do an xray to determine if hes capable. What does a cray have to do with healthy weight gain. I have called twice for an explanation and the doc is neglecting to provide a customer call backBusiness response

This client was seen at our clinic for sedation grooming. The pet was consistently losing weight and the doctor was uncomfortable sedating or giving vaccinations to this pet because of the weight loss. The owner did not want to pursue further diagnostics to determine the reason for the weight loss such as x-rays, urinalysis, ultrasound etc. The owner has been rude and aggressive towards our staff because of this and was sent a letter to terminate the doctor client relationship. The client is free to pursue any other veterinarian of her choice who may be willing to vaccinate even though the pet is underweight. We are no longer willing to have a professional relationship with this client. When the client was in for the exam to determine if the pet was healthy enough to receive vaccines, she left before the doctor entered the room to explain things to her because she was upset with the technician.
