I had a bathroom remodel done and was charged $37,700. I paid Kroll Construction $54.400. They also painted my walls and tore out the old flooring and laid down laminate flooring through out my 937 square foot home and shockingly charged me $******. But it gets better the work was pathetic and they had to come back twice to fix their shotty work and even now it doesnt be look very professional. This wonderful company (I said sarcastically) took out 3 loans in my name with 2 different loan companies for $45,160 without my signature or knowledge. The first ****** loan is for kitchen cabinets that I never ordered or received and the second ****** loan was for a shower and tub system that I paid cash for. The one loan company is going to put a lien on my home for the cabinets and bathroom. This company is just a bunch of high pressure gaslighting jerks who take advantage of little old ladies. Did I mention Im 62 retired and not yet collecting social security ?? I cant afford over 700/month for materials that Kroll lied about. If theyre such an honest company tell the loan people he charged me ****** for painting and flooring. These people should be ashamed of themselves and put out of business once and for all. They got kicked out of ************ for shady business practices and moved to *********** and the grifting continues.Business response

1. Contract Clarification:
Contract 1: Bathroom remodel signed on May 3, 2023, with an initial price of $37,770. Additional costs and credits adjusted the final price to $45,660. The customer paid $20,500 in cash and financed $25,160. This is all documented and a change of contract was executed by the customer on 11/7/2023.
Contract 2: Project for Flooring, Paint, etc., signed on June 5, 2023, at a fixed price of $54,400. The customer paid $34,400 in cash and financed $20,000.
2. Customers Authorization: The customer signed loan documents on or around November 7, 2023, and the loans funded shortly thereafter. Kroll Construction cannot authorize financing on behalf of customers and that lender practices prevent such issues.
3. Loan Misunderstanding: The customer states her loans were for kitchen cabinets which she never received. She was advised by Kroll Construction that this was an error on the lender's end; that they would make the correction in their system. Kroll Construction did not order kitchen cabinets on any of this customer's projects.4. Kroll was not thrown out of ************* This is Libel.

I had my kitchen remodeled through Krolll Construction. Very poor customer service from office help led me to deal directly with VP *********************** which finally resulted in job scheduling. Contractor work was then satisfactory for the most part. I contacted the cabinet company about an issue and was told that I would need the Purchase Order Number for warranted service. I requested this from ************** prior to the final walk through with him. He told me that it along with the care and warranty information was being sent. He also said he would have the contractor return for some touch up work. None of this has yet happened. I have directly texted him about this three times since September 14 but have gotten no response whatsoever.Business response

We prefer that any warranty issues go directly through our company with any project we do. This protects the customer because we can leverage our buying power to get better results and it saves the customer time and frustration having to navigate directly with a manufacturer. Additionally, our contracts provide our warranty policies in *******. In several cases we simply step in and resolve any issues ourselves. This project was completed on 8/1/2023. We contacted ****** directly to get their purchase order so that we can give this to ***** as well as the manufacturers warranty should they have this in *******. Once we receive this information we will contact ***** and discuss any touch up issues as well.Customer response

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your rejection of the business's response.
Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:
As the purchaser of the cabinets, I am entitled to the written documents promised to me which included the Purchase Order Number along with the Care and Warranty information. The ** indicated both were being sent, which has already proven to not be true. Kroll's **************** during the project also gave conflicting statements and failed to schedule work until I directly dealt with the **. Now that they have their money for the project, I do not trust their word for any future service. I personally contacted the cabinet manufacture without difficulty and was advised to get the Purchase Order Number for future issues that might arise. It's ridiculous to repeatedly request this basic information which a purchaser should have. It is my only protection if Kroll ever goes out of business. Thank you. You must provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. Please type details here:]

At the present time, I have absolutely nothing that supports my purchase of kitchen cabinets. Any purchase should come with some time of proof of purchase and/or warranty information which was never provided. I was told by Kroll's VP that I would receive both of these, but never received either one. The cabinets have a lifetime guarantee, but per the manufacturer, this is only applicable with the Purchase Order Number which verifies the purchase. I do not understand why I am unable to receive some receipt or proof of purchase which seems I am ***********.
