I have late payments on my credit card accounts that should not be there. I contacted my credit union and they are unwilling to help or even investigate. It's my understanding that laws are put into place to protect consumers like myself against inaccurate reporting. According to USC code 1666b, "A creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose..."I want these late payments removed and updated to report the accurate/positive reporting status.

In August of 2023 I took out a 0% loan for one year with Dort to purchase a furnace. It has been a nightmare dealing with them from day one, and so many red flags indicating that their primary goal is to prevent people from paying off within a year so they can charge full back interest. 1. We took out the loan for the full furnace amount but I wanted to use what we had to immediately pay off what I could. Their system would not let me pay more than $1000 at a time. So I had to make multiple entries (with a charge for each) to pay the amount I wanted to. 2. Once you set up autopay, you no longer have the option to pay additional $ unless you remove the autopay, pay the additional amount and then reset up autopay. 3. If you have your autopay set to an amount that means your loan will be paid within the 0% year, you will get notification that you are paying to much and they are delaying your auto payments. 4. Because of this, I decided to pay the loan with my credit card. Even with the cc they would not allow more than $1000 at a time? With additional charges. 5. once I paid everything I could no longer see my loan info on their site and whether it was paid. I reached out MULTIPLE times, including to the assistant mgr of the call center and they either have no answer for me, or wont respond/return my call (asst ***** All I am looking for is proof IN WRITING that my loan was paid and that I will not be charged any interest. It should not be this hard for them to confirm my paid loan in writing

Coincidentally the assistant manager at Dort who didnt call me back after multiple attempts to reach him called me 3 hrs after I made the BBB complaint.  They then provided me with the information I wanted and allowed me to close my account with them.  I will still never do business with them ever again because it should not have taken a complaint to BBB for them to give me proof of my loan being paid. (Along with all the shady stuff that happened previously)

so i have disputed this i would say at least 20 times and they keep lying and saying its accurate on my credit report dort federal credit union has lied about the last payment date on my credit report and kept the account open after being charged off the account is now 9 going on 10 months past the fair credit reporting act 7 year statute of limitations the last payment was August 2016 and they lied and keep reporting it as October 2018 2 years after the last payment made i demand this to be removed from my credit report and the title to the car and to be compensated for damages to my credit because they are lying about the dates to keep this on my report and knowingly and wilfully damaging my credit if this is not fixed and i don't get the title free and clear and compensated i will be filing a lawsuit for damages

I lost my previous job and have been paying on a non running vehicle, and a **** through my financial institution. I have a lesser paying job now and needed info on returning the vehicle. I had a lot of questions, that have gone unanswered to this day, due to either a lack of training, or just substandard customer service. I needed to find out the process or procedures as to my credit impact, options for repayment, etc. I am in touch with a miss Reagar ******** that has left me in complete oblivion to answer my own questions by trial and error, either not responding to my direct questions and just asking me to sign the surrender form. Me going through this difficult time and trying to find information out is absolutely unbelievable. The only solid info I have received from Reagar is not to get delinquent or I will be very regretful. Dort will oust me as a member quickly and I will lose all privileges. What does that even mean? What privileges I pay you, I have had to communicate with better suited more professional Credit Unions that have tried to immediately walk me through the legal process, my rights, and offered to set up a direct line to just pay them from my new account and never have to be subjected to anything or any treatment like that moving forward. THAT is a STELLAR financial institution, DORT CREDIT is still below par. They will not even allow me to speak with anyone else in company other than Reagar ************************** Credit Union and its affiliates have treated me immorally and improperly throughout this entire process and I have even had to contact the repo agent myself to get the car picked up due to lack of communication and unanswered questions. There should be laws governing the treatment of consumers when playing with or ignoring their financial stability and credit worthiness concerns and having to find out every hard way possible through the process, especially if one has been in good standing member for years.
