My house suffered damage from the hail storm in July. I contacted my homeowner's insurance and received a claim. On August 8, 2023 I met with ******, a rep from Perfectly SQ Exteriors, who was recommended by ***** Exteriors. An agreement was signed with Perfectly SQ Exteriors to remove and replace my roof. My roof was done in September by men that Perfectly SQ Exteriors hired. There was no supervision. They worked all day from 8am till after 8pm, and same the next day. The workers were up on the roof in 90 degree weather. On September 30, 2023 I had my roof inspected by an independent roofer, to make sure the job was done correctly. I was informed the entire roof was marked, that it appeared something had been dragged across the roof. I notified *********************** and his response was "How did that happen?". He has never been on my roof. He says my roof passed inspection. I spoke with the inspector, he admitted he does not go up on and that he only does drive-by's. *********************** came to my house one time but, it was raining, so he did not get up on the roof and he has no ladder with him. I requested a copy of the building permit and noticed the the building permit was requested after all the work was completed. (Requested 10/11/2023). November he requested the remaining amount. I told he had not completed the job satisfactory. He said he would change 55 shingles. I have shingles and nails all in my yard. Independent roofer reinspected the roof and claims there are more than 30 spots that are still damaged.

      12/19/2023

Perfectly SQ Exteriors has attempted to communicate with ******************* regarding her third party inspection against the ***** building inspection that was passed and her concerns. We have attempted since this compliant to reach her directly with no return calls back. We have made repairs to "smudged" shingles located after a third party inspector got on her new roofing system. Since a resolution can not be met, we have since turned this over to legal at this point due to lack of payment for a completed passed inspection new roofing system which was promised to be paid from her.

I am rejecting this response because:  ******* has not satisfactory been repaired and I have had little to no communication from Perfectly Square.  Out of 30 or more shingles that were damaged they changed 3 or 4.

      Sincerely,

      *******************

Again, our first response stands. We have made multiple call outs to **** to discuss this complaint in order to achieve her satisfaction with no answer and no return communication outside of her BBB response. We have turned this over to legal at this time due to lack of payment.

I signed a contract with Perfectly SQ to install new windows & siding on 6/17/2022. They were to contact me to arrange details, such as color of siding & date of installation. After not hearing from them for 3 weeks, I was able to talk to someone who said that I needed to send money for the process to begin. I sent $10,000 & again heard nothing, nor did anyone answer my calls. I am unable to rent this house or sell it until it has this work done; so I am losing money every day they delay. Out of desperation, I posted a comment on ******** & that caught the owners attention. He called & said that he would try to remedy the situation, but has not done so. I would like an apology and my money back with interest. If it is possible to fine them, then that should be done also. They are a terrible company.

********************* complaint has been resolved as of September 27th 2022 upon her acceptance of our termination agreement outside of the right of rescission. The acceptance of her refunded deposit was explained to *************** that the contract was terminated and no experience was to be discussed.

As the Better Business Bureau stands as a natural third party platform to share complaints, they operate by making public what is stated by each party without taking a position and/or fact checking what is stated. Since May 2023 we have been in discussions with the Better Business Bureau showcasing the agreement put into place with ***************** on September 27th 2022. We were informed by the Better Business Bureau in those discussions that unless a court decision was made prior to the complaint being submitted the complaint stands and remains public. While no response from Perfectly Square Exteriors was given to ***************** initially a termination agreement was reached fourteen days after the issuance of this complaint. Perfectly Square Exteriors wished to honor that agreement and not breach the termination outside of the right of rescission. HOWEVER, a response MUST BE/IS REQUIRED in order to keep Better Business Bureau accreditation per the Better Business Bureau hence this response.

Contract unfulfilled, yet *** claims it is finished and wants final payment.

      Business response

We spoke with Mr. and *************** today regarding the complaint. ************** contracted us for extensive ********* work involving multiple skilled trades on 9/8/21 and a color selection for his roofing system was made on 10/20/21 once his adjusters report was obtained. It is common practice for companies to receive a deposit prior to any work being performed. With ********* work this payment is usually received after the ********* company has given the homeowner(s) their ACV check.

Perfectly SQ Exteriors understood the importance of getting Mr. and Mrs. ****** roof completed due to the situation of the damage. This is why we completed the roofing portion of Mr. and Mrs. ****** ********* agreement on 11/10/21 prior to receiving any money.

************** received an invoice on 2/25/22 from us for the roof portion only of his ********* agreement. This dollar amount was strictly for the roof as listed on the ********* agreement. Perfectly SQ Exteriors was looking to receive payment for work that has been completed and nothing more.

In our communications with Mr. and ***************, our owner, *********************** explained the information above and agreed we would like to continue on the project. Weather permitting our next skilled tradesman will be to Mr. and Mrs. ****** property this upcoming Monday regardless of receiving payment for the roof.
