      Services rendered 2/22/23 (spinal anesthesia during c-section). these are billed separately from the hospital. I received one paper bill, then a collections notice 6/19/23 (dated June 2) without any additional bills, phone calls, or other attempts to contact. There was no way to pay online provided, and no way to directly use our health savings account, only a mailing address provided. this is predatory behavior

      I had a Colonoscopy on 1/21/21. We received a **** that was incorrectly coded. Our physician recoded the procedure and on 5/27/21 we made a good faith payment of $50.00 and wait until they rebilled the procedure with the correct procedure code on file. We had not received a new **** in the mail since. On 8/2/21 we received a **** from a collections company. I called West Michigan Anesthesia account #WMA110415 and was told I had to call Spectrum. I called Spectrum, they said I had to call WMA, I called WMA back and got another person, they told me to call the doctor, the doctor told me to call WMA. I cannot get WMA to rebill the procedure and need to get them to stop collections until they rebill the procedure and at the very least send us a corrected ****. I do not understand how they can send you to collections if they have not been resubmitting the bills or sending me bills in the mail.

      We received the copy of the concern ********************************* submitted to your office.  Due to HIPAA laws, there is limited information I can share with you to protect ************************ private medical history.  However, we did review his account, and confirmed that we billed correctly for the services performed.  We even verified with the *************** and they billed the same codes as our office did.  We also contacted his insurance company to confirm that they adjudicated his claim correctly based on their medical policy standards.  His insurance did process the **** correctly, nothing would be gained by rebilling as he requested.  We are billing him for his contracted deductible as determined by his insurance company.  Mr. *********** account was never transferred to an External collection agency as he is claiming.
