On Sunday September 10th 2023 I ***************************** went out to the cemetery as I do every Sunday and notice that my mother's vase was missing. I reached out to my sister because we are the only two that visits the site on a regular basis and asked her did she notice that the base was missing she said no and was in shocked like I was. On October 9th I went into the office to ask about the vase and was told by ******************************* the secretary stated there was nothing that could be done that there is no way to tell who took it and basically it's the consumers responsibility, the replacement would be at least $900 ,I then shared with her that what if this happens again do we continue to keep purchasing another one she then stated I don't know what to tell you, at that time I asked her who was the owner of the cemetery she then stated her name is ****************** but she's too old to handle anything we do it off for her, I then asked if she was aware that vases are missing on the cemetery lot she ******* then shared with me that she don't have any involvement with the cemetery and we had to do everything through her.I then shared the information with my sister and she went out and purchased another one that was plastic instead of metal just like the one on the grave site,. On October 15th 2023 again I went out to the grave site and the vase was missing. I contacted the office once again and ******* said yes it's laying over there on the floor we cannot have any plastic flowers nor plastic vases on our property mind you that my mom passed away in 2017 in every since then we only put out the plastic flowers and never was notified about any of this due to we go out there once a week and switch the flowers out. During the time when I was at the office to retrieve the vase and ***************************** then shared with me that I was going to tell you if you filed a police report I can present that to my manager and see if they will replace the vase, that same day I went to the police station filed a report and took it to the office ******* then shared with me that it will be a month or so this was back in October it is now February 9th 2024 and still haven't heard anything, I contacted the office today and was told that she hasn't heard anything back yet, I then asked her could she reach out to someone to resolve this matter she's shared with me I guess I can I then asked her if she would contact me back and she stated I guess I can. I decided to contact the BBB due to this has been a very challenging situation for myself and my family, my ask if you could assist in contacting the cemetery to see if you can help us resolve this issue. Our next steps maybe will have to be our local news station because this is not fair to any of us. Also I am concerned on how this business is being ran due to ******* did share with me that the owner ************************* is not at sound mind so I'm not sure if she knows how her business is being ran. Also my question is isn't that cemetery insured so that they can file a claim to assist with getting my mother's vase back it would seem like it would be insured by someone it's just the shame that I wasn't able to put flowers on her grave site on the 7th anniversary of her death.Please assist us with this matter I can be contacted by email or by phone.*****************************
