On May 1, 2024 at 3:30 PM I called Precision Family Dental to make an appointment. The first available opening for a consultation was August 27, 2024. I was required to make a $50 deposit to book the appointment. I was informed the deposit would go towards the $150 consultation fee. After the phone call and giving my credit card information for the $50 deposit I received a text message. The text message included a link to fill out forms, another requirement to confirm the appointment. I did not fill out the forms to complete and confirm the appointment. I called Precision Family Dental May 6, 2024 at 9:30 AM to say I could not wait until August 27, 2024. I canceled my appointment. I asked for the $50 deposit to be refunded. I was informed the deposit was nonrefundable, regardless of the time frame I was canceling in. I do not recall being told it was nonrefundable. The text message stated "If an appointment change must be made, please provide 48 business hours, per cancelation policy." It did not state what the policy was. Precision Family Dental has reached out to me and apologized. They are going to be sending me a full refund of $50 in the form of a check.
They are changing their no refund policy to be only for no call no show, which is acceptable.

We always strive to provide the best experience for our patients. In doing so, we have had to enforce policies and procedures that allows us to continue to provide the best care possible. This typically requires that people show up to their scheduled appointments or cancel within a timely manner so that another deserving individual is able to be seen instead if said patient cannot make it. We have fully refunded this patient and always refund any patient that follows our reservation agreement.
