We booked this venue for our wedding date which was supposed to be 11-11-22. This was after we were told certain amenities were included in our contract package. The head manager was out on vacation when we did our tour and the day we came back to sign our contract. After returning from vacation, she told us a few very important things we were looking forward to were extra expenses and that the excuse was they had staff turnover and sorry that everyone wasnt on the same page.Fast forward 2 months in June and my dad was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. He was given a life expectancy of October. Studio d2d refused to refund us our deposit because we had to move our wedding date up to a date they did not have available. We ended up only having a back yard ceremony with our parents and siblings so my dad could be there to watch me get married. $1500 is a lot for someone to lose out on after being given wrong information before signing a contract and then also having a catastrophic event like this happen. In neither situation did they display any empathy and understanding.
