Home "deemed liveable" 20Dec2022; total mortgage $200,000; nature of the dispute: construction and half assed job completion causing a number of issues/home owners feel the mortgage cost for the amount of repairs needed to be highly overpriced; since purchasing home (that was the lot model) in May of 2022 it was placed onto the land in Aug 2022 the issues have been: no plumbing in the shower of the 2nd bathroom, drain not connected in master bathroom, inappropriate sealing throughout home for windows/floor boards/cabinets, non-working lights (company replaced once and they still don't work), missing light switches in the master closet, no furnace cover until asked for (still not sure the venting is appropriate there), water damage from the move that was to be removed and replaced and seemingly was painted over, marble damage to the fireplace that was "too hard to fix" (since have learned prior to their "fix it" guy gluing it to the floor would have been easy to fix but now will be more extensive), "non freezable pipes" that freeze, inability to even lock the back door (never installed the lock or hole for the lock to set into), the list could easily continue. We purchased this (our first home) new for the purpose of not having to extend first time home owner costs to include repairs and to allow family peace of mind in relation to repairs for the foreseeable future. None of that has happened and I find it appalling that my 200k home has legitimate holes behind a curtain because "who will notice".

Hello- Customers took possession of home in December of 2022- after a full year had gone by we never received a call or email with any concerns or issues.  MIMHC replaced can lights when the customer had just moved in that went out in the home (that were provided by MHE/Manufacture). If lights went out again, MIMHC would gladly replace for customer - No customer should be left in the dark and had customer called or emailed we would have been happy to take care of them. Customer states there is a communication issue yet we have had no communication from them in the past year with concerns allowing us an opportunity to repair/or address concerns. Marble damage to fireplace mantle (there was a crack in the marble) - The factory (MHE) installs & glues the hearth to the floor - ****, our contractor, stated that it would be a big job to replace but was willing to do it. The customer stated that they would accept a settlement which was a check and a replacement marble slab and that they would replace it down the road instead of **** doing the replacement job. They cashed the settlement check and are now complaining a year later? Customer complained about scaled guards in master bathroom - MIMHC is the dealer not the builder. MHE builds the house and there are certain Codes (HUD) which we are not allowed to remove the scald guards.  As far as pipes freezing - Pipes should not freeze in a manufactured home, this is a question for the plumber. Did they install heat tape? Is the *** working under the home where plumber should have plugged in heat tape? Plumber was hired by customer and if there is something going on causing freezing pipes the customer should have contacted plumber to address this if plumber couldn't address it then we should have been notified.  The black tube on top of furnace is the cold air intake - that is not supposed to be covered by anything but looks like it is not seated right on top of furnace. How long has it been that way? Customer is bringing up many valid concerns just not sure why they would let these go un addressed for over a year. The customer recently responded to a voicemail via email and listed additional concerns outside of this complaint. Again, not sure why customer could not just call and have a productive conversation. MIMHC always has been a phone call away and we always go above and beyond to make sure customers are happy.  When MIMHC was completed with interior of home none of these issues were present. Not sure where we go from here. Customer is outside warranty period and claims there are communication issues between us and her yet there is not a voicemail, call, or email to support that.

I am rejecting this response because: the plumber was hired to connect the home to the water source and heat tape was applied and functioning well, the freeze was in the pre existing section of the bathroom plumbing. So perhaps review the information provided and revise your commentary on communication issues.

      Sincerely,

Going to reach out to ***** and see if we can send someone over to address his flooring concern. The factory whom built his house holds the warranty and he is on their list for service. We have provided him with all the info and contact number yet he calls her threating us constantly. I will update once we send someone out to view his concern.

I have a methane gas smell in my home, located in ***********, ** and I think the source is in a vent pipe that is broken in the wall.I have spoken to both **** and ****** at Michigan Mobile Home Connection and have been told that someone would be out to take care of the problem. Both times they have set an appointment, they have failed to show up.My health is being impacted and I need to have the problem solved and remove the danger to me. I can not afford to move out to a hotel, and since my husband died during the completion of the build, I feel I am being taken advantage of.

There was a miscommunication and we did everything we could to try to get our service man out there end of last week but his schedule is set 3-4 weeks in advance and he could not finish his previous job in time to make it there. I re-scheduled with ***** last week for this Tuesday-March 14th which is not even here yet. There is a lot finger pointing and blaming going on about a leak and until our tech goes out there tomorrow we don't really know what is going on.  ***** has a Licensed plumber working for her and if there is truly a Methane leak occurring there is no-one more qualified to locate and repair the issue than a licensed plumber. If the issue or defect was found within the home the **** would have been reimbursed. Nobody is being taken advantage of, instead you are slandering our name and treating us very unfairly like criminals and that is not appreciated. She made an unfair comment about us not caring about our better business review because it is bad anyway which I think is very rude out of a 1,200 homes sold that is less than 1 % bad reviews.
