Mid summer of 2021 I went to Mirages tanning salon on Plainfield in ************ and I was told about a huge blow out sale they were having. I ended up spending close to $200 that day on tanning packages. The next day I went back to go tanning and the owner stopped me before I reached the door saying that they were closed and moving locations. She gave me the address and phone number of the new salon and its completely empty and closed off. Ive been checking periodically on the progress of the supposed new location and Ive never seen anyone there and the building is always dark. I can go to my bank and get statements of the purchases I made at mirage since I payed with a credit card. Im working on disputing it with the fraud department at my bank as well. Im hoping to be reimbursed for the money they stole.Initial Complaint

My husband and I purchased services from Mirage Tanning Center in mid-August. On August 24, 2021 the owner posted on her Facebook page that the location was "temporarily closing due to electrical issue." She went on to say that she was moving to a new location and would keep everyone posted on details. On September 13, 2021 she posted that the grand opening of the new location would be on September 20th. On September 20, 2021 she posted that due to "unforeseen issues and the availability of the electrician" the grand opening would not happen that day, but soon. The last update was October 7, 2021 stating they are working very hard to get the new location open. They are still delayed and don't have an exact date yet. This was over a month ago and there has been no update. We spent over $70 dollars for services that we are unable to use. Other customers have also posted on the Facebook page asking for updates and have received no response. Are they ever going to open again or are we all just out of our money?Initial Complaint

The tanning salon just closed with no notice to customers on august 24, 2021**************************************************************************************************) on September 20, 2021 and have yet to open anything or have any updates. I have paid for minutes and have put money down on my account for future visits which I now cannot use because they aren't open anywhere. I just want my money back because I feel like they just scammed me with buying minutes and money to my account when they knew they were closing
