On 6/07/2024 a plumber came out to my residence to fix the non-working garbage disposal. The plumber (******) said the garbage disposal had stopped working and needed to be replaced. I agreed to have the garbage disposal replaced at a high cost of approximately $800. I told him that was high and he agreed. He said I could buy one myself for less, but he would have to come back later to install it. I was in a quandary as to what to do --the garbage disposal would not drain, but the motor engaged. It was leaving a mess in the kitchen sink and it was around 7:00 pm on a Friday night. I agreed to the approximate price of $800 for the installation.****** installed an INSINKERATOR EVOLUTION PRO 750 garbage disposal (which I checked out online for $270 -$430) and billed me (see invoice receipt) for $807.33 ****** also installed the sink basket strainer, which comes with the garbage disposal (online cost is no more than $30) and billed me (see invoice receipt) for $305.15.I was also charged $69 (see invoice receipt) for the plumbing service call.I feel was overcharged by at least $400, based on my online research.Business response

I have heard from ****, a supervisor from Vredevoogd. **** told me that the company would reimburse me in the amount of $481.18. I would need to withdraw my complaint with BBB to which I agreed. However, I will not withdraw this complaint until I have been reimbursed the agreed upon amount from Vredevoogd.
