I signed a contract and issued check #**** for $8625.00 as a 50% deposit to Bay to Bay Building Concepts on 4-4-23 for a window and a roof. This check was cashed. They have lost their business license and I cannot reach anyone there via phone and they are not responding to my emails or voicemails. I have requested a full refund and cannot reach anyone there. I understand they are out of business and there may be a class action lawsuit against this company for other consumers in the same situation. Saw videos from Channel 17 interviewing people with the same complaint.Customer Answer

In August of 2022 I had a quote from Bay to Bay to fix my roof which was leaking water into my ceiling above my kitchen sink. There was also a leak above my daughter's bedroom. They came out, did an inspection and gave me a quote of $8,900. I made a down payment of $890 on 7/26/22, then paid $3,560 on 7/29/22, then $4,450 on 8/11/22 when the company came out and did work on the roof. On August 20, 2022 the same area above the kitchen was leaking again. I reached out and they sent the same crew out who said they could not find where the leak was coming from and caulked a pipe in the roof. There were a few other instances over the past year where there was water in the same area, however because it was next to the sink, I didn't have any proof that it was from the leak. In April of 2023, my sister observed the same area leaking. I reached out to Bay to Bay and they sent a man named ***** to look at the roof. He said he couldn't find any leak, but would send someone else out to look at it. I had called several times and left several messages, but never heard anything back until around June or July. The person I spoke to said their business phone had been routed to his phone as they were moving. He again said they would send someone out, and I have not heard anything back since. I have again left several voicemails as well as sent an email.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with a roofing business Bay to Bay Building Concepts in ************ on June 28 2022. Half of the deposit was paid of $7,000. I also found out the guy that I signed the contract with no longer works there. The company kept making excuses as to why they havent scheduled the roof repair. After numerous calls, I finally talked to the manager ***, I explained the situation and stated I want a full refund because I havent been contacted in months for a project that shouldve taken a couple weeks to finish. *** said we need it in writing stating I would like a refund. I told her I dont expect to be waiting a year for a refund. I sent them an email on June 19 2023 with no response. I followed up with phone calls on June 29 and July 19 looking for answers which I still never got. I called to talk to the owner and he was out of the office and would call me back but never did. I gave up on calling because I never got any answers. I saw that they were finally reported and shut down to investigate so it prompted me to file a complaint with my situation. This company is running their business terribly and something needs to be done and I need to be compensated.Initial Complaint

I originally had an individual from Bay to Bay come out on ******** to fix a leaking roof/deck that a prior company (**********************) failed to fix as well. At that time I also signed work agreements to a sliding glass door replacement, facia repair, and a side deck to be repaired which have yet to be completed. I was informed this would all be done within a month of signing the agreement. It took them 3 months to show up and "complete" the job but the roof still leaked. I informed Bay to Bay that it was still leaking. They came out in August and found some damage to the roofing and said they were going to come out again and figure a way to fix it. They never did, since then the roof has leaked multiple times due to rain. I can happily provide all the work agreements signed on ******** but they are to large to upload as supporting documents. I have called them multiple times over the last 4 months (can provide logs of calls) and every time I call they tell me they will get someone to call me, which never has happened. We are now over 6 months since the initial signing date, I have paid the company $13,210.00, all without a project being completed and others not even started.Initial Complaint

On August 4 2021, I signed a contract for Bay to Bay to construct an addition on my home which would include a Master bedroom, bathroom, closeting in my washer and dryer, removal of some walls and a dining area. The salesperson, *** told me verbally that the project would start in October. October came around and I started calling to see the timeline. At this time I was told there was a concrete shortage and that the project would need to be pushed to the spring. I was understanding and accommodating of this change at the time. As spring came closer, I would start to call to try to get a concrete start date as no one has contacted me thus far.My main communication has been with *********. Each time I'd call she'd tell me that I would get a call back, and that never happened. "The production team is working to get start dates for the spring but I can't tell you an exact date" was the story every time. As spring came to an end, I was assured that my project was still on track to start in the spring, but no exact date was provided. By the end of spring, I was starting to worry. I called up again and demanded a start date. This is when ****** (owner) called my husband personally and told him that they would start our project Mid-June- **** were finishing up some decks and we were next in line. Mid June rolled around, no contact, so I followed up and was told by a project manager, that they were pushing my project back to "late July- early august" I expressed that I have been told over and over again, vague start times and wanted something in writing. He sent me an email telling me they would start late July. July came and went and NO CONTACT from bay to bay, yet again. It is now MID OCTOBER, with no communication. At this point, I have requested a full refund, filed a police report and my lawyer has sent them a letter demanding accounting of funds and a refund. None has been received. I am pursuing this legally and appreciate the BBB efforts in keeping businesses honestInitial Complaint

We signed a contract with Bay to Bay on 7/24/2023 to have 15 windows installed at our house. We gave the salesperson a check for $6,500.00, which was cashed on 7/25/2023. The contract states that the start date would be in 2-4 weeks. We contacted Bay to Bay several times for updates, and was informed that they lost the measurements and no windows had been ordered. They also have not returned phone calls. A few days ago, we discovered that Bay to Bay lost their business license a few days after cashing our check. I have a business contract with bay to bay to build a new fence along the backside of my property. I have it dated the 14th of July 2023 and was given a time frame of 2-4 weeks for project to start. Bay to Bay was hired to replace only half of the roof. Before getting prior approval, they started tearing off the side that was not in need of repair. This was in October of 2022. We have asked for an itemized bill showing everything they have done to the house and we have yet to receive one. They cut the siding and installed a flat board along the roof. They did not flash behind anything nor did they seal anything. They left a huge mess in the driveway and front yard. Took them over 2 weeks to get the rubbish off the property.Initial Complaint

Had sales man come out 6/15/2023 he gave us a quote for $3200.00 and was told work would be done within 2 to 4 weeks after we put half down. So we paid $1600.00 down that day texted the sales guy June 26th trying to figure out when they may be able to schedule us. He said on June 27th that it look a like maybe next Wednesday or Thursday and that he would back with us early next week. On the 29th of June he said I know it will be next week. July 6th he said he would find out and let me know after I texted him any updates? July 19th again texted him he said I'll check into it I'm on vacation. Hadn't heard back from him since. Started calling the office talked to **** and some chic. They told us on August 5th it would be done with in 3 week finishing up a project it should only take 2 weeks but I will say 3 weeks I said that was fine the city was working on our sidewalk so that would work better. They said we will call you back 2 and a half weeks later they would call us back. my husband called a few days later and their voice mail wasn't set up. So after emailing them **** called my husband back and said he would be out on the 27th. Husband took the day off still Noone showed up. So I called my husband called and no one picked up I then called off my work phone and someone picked up and directed me to ****. Asked when they would be at our house that my husband took the day off and he said oh I didn't know he took the day off. We don't need you to be there to do the porch. I said he wants to be so he can tell you what siding to pull to fix the exposed wall that needs siding. I said we are both off Friday he said we will be there Friday 9/1/2023. 1:45 pm still not here.
