This business is selling lemon cars to unsuspecting people and getting away with it. ****, the owner, not only had me wait 6 hours to help me, he told me the car was perfect and nothing was wrong with it. I wasnt even able to drive the car for a week. Ive asked for my money back, or even a new vehicle and he told me I had to give him another $1000 which doesnt sound right at all. I bought the car in March, it is now June and Im struggling without my vehicle. I am not the only person hes done this too but I want to be the last.Business response

To Whom It May ***************** name is *********************************, General Manager of Carmen's Auto Sales III LLC. I am writting in regards to this BBB Complaint. Ms. ******************************* was looking for a mid size suv right as we were closing. Our office stayed open to after 10:00 pm to help ********************** find her next vehicle. After retreiving another vehicle from our sister location afterhours ********************** was satisfied. We completed this deal as an installment seller in the *****************. ********************** signed a Federal Buyers Guide and completed all of her paperwork.
A little while after the purchase we received a phone call in regards to ********************** needing a new battery. We delievered a new battery and installed it for free, not once but twice. The second time we went out to help ********************** we noticed the cusotmer sitting in the car with a puddle of coolant on the ground. It had looked like the vehicle overheated as it was running in the parked position. After this point the vehicle had wanted to stall at stop lights without a check engine light being on.
After a few conversations witht he cusotmer and her father, I offered to swap ********************** out of her vehicle and into a differnet vehicle. We even offered to do away with the old loan. ********************** has to paid for a swap out and tax, title and plate transfer for the new vehicle. The father shook my hand and appreciated our offer. ********************** does not have enough money to swap out.
As of today the customer is over $1500 past due and we have not reported any missed payments.
Give us a call with any quesitons or concerns.
Sincerely,

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your rejection of the business's response.
Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:
[While, ******* did offer me a new vehicle he did not offer that until 2 months later and I had to get the state involved for him to do that. I initially asked for my money back or a new vehicle in March, 2 weeks after purchasing the car and he said no. . It was not until the end of May where I received that offer and then they asked me to put $1000 for the new vehicle. $1000 I do not have because I had to go two months without a car. When I first purchased it I was told the car was perfect and it had no issues.. that was a lie because he knew from the beginning that it was a lemon. I have multiple testimonies from multiple people that they car selling bad cars at that lot of getting away with it.
Regards,

On Tuesday, December 8th, 2021, I bought a 2008 Town and Country from ************** Sales. Salesmans name is "****", who is also the person who is owner or who makes decisions for this business per other employees of said business. He is the one who started my contract, and informed me to come back the next day to make the next payment and to pick up my vehicle. Upon looking at the vehicle, I made mention to him that the car is making a loud sound, and that I wanted to make sure all fluids were filled along with the lights on the dashboard and the automatic sliding doors would be fixed, since one side wasn't working. He advised me that all this would be fixed and covered under my warranty. The next day "****" was not present. However, I was able to obtain my car with the reassurance it would be fixed. I was scheduled for an appointment for the following day. Again, arrived only to find **** was again not available and then I was given an appointment for the following Monday at 9am. Sat there for 3 hours only for them to say we had to come back because the guy to fix my van wasn't there. Was scheduled for the next week on a Tuesday. Went to that appointment only to be told the same thing again. They then scheduled yet another appointment for Thursday of the same week at 2pm. Went to that appointment only to be told that they needed approval from "****", who had approved it from the beginning. I did a series of calls to the office to confirm again a time for appointment so I would not waste time or gas. I was told by one of the workers there that he empathized with me, as he knew I had been basically told my van would be fixed only for it not to be many times prior. He even said he would reimburse me for my gas out of his own pocket. So I was scheduled for another appointment January 7 2022. Now I was told I would have to pay half for the issues of a van that I purchased with a 30 day warranty, which has not been honored. Please help resolve this. Deceptive sales
