      Big bear adventures have one of thee rudest staff I have ever encountered with. 1. Staff answer the phone with a tough attitude! 2. I POINTED OUT AN ERROR ON THERE WEBSITE THAT MANAGEMENT COULD NOT EVEN SEE AND TRIED TO LEAVE ME A VM AND CORRECT ME WHEN IN FACT THEY WERE WRONG AND I SCREEN SHOTTED FOR PROOF and took a video Incase it is taken down. Instead of honoring a price on there website whether mistake or not shouldnt be an issue. ***** the manager was very rude and seemed like she did not care that I would contact the BBB.

      We have been nothing but professional in our communications with *************** (whether answering the phone, leaving a voicemail, or talking to her on the phone). The first time she called, she spoke with a manager who stated that the 3.5 - 4-hour Raft Trip rate is $38 per person. She questioned the rate compared to the website and the manager stated that is the correct price. She asked to speak to another manager and was transferred to my voicemail since I was not in that day. My manager had confirmed the $38 Raft Trip rate from our website, printed it off, and left me a note stating the details of ******************** phone call. The note from my manager read: "Customer called regarding ***** hr Raft trip. Gave her all info regarding times, etc. Asked if price was $38 - I said yes. She said website says $34. I told her we had our website person update but he may have missed something? She wanted me to agree to $34 - I told her price is $38. She told me I needed to do what website says. Wanted to talk to another manager - she left message on your voicemail. FYI: our website does say $38 under "Raft" rates. Not sure what she is looking at..." The next day, I saw and read my manager's note and asked her for more details. She explained how she felt that the woman reacted in a condescending manner immediately and it really bothered her. I immediately looked at our website, saw the correct rates under "Raft trips" and couldn't find anything different. I called her number and left a voicemail nicely stating that I was confused as I was looking at the rates under "Rafts" and that they are correct (and are the same as last year). I stated that maybe there is an older rate somewhere hidden in our website that we weren't aware of? I also gave some more info regarding how challenging the first half of the 4 hr Raft trip is and that we definitely recommend the longer trip to guests who have already paddled the shorter trip with us (especially since she mentioned in her voicemail that this trip would be for her and her husband and their parents). When she called back shortly after I left the voicemail, she immediately commented to the employee who answered the phone "Why does everyone answer the phone so rude?" The employee was taken aback and tried to help ****************. **************** said there is another place on our website that states that trip is $34 per person and led our employee (who looked it up on her own phone) as to where she saw it. That employee put her on hold and came to tell me that there was an extremely angry woman on the phone who claimed we were rude. I thanked **************** for calling back and she definitely was angry from the moment I got on the phone. When I asked her if there was a date on the top right of the page she was looking at, she said it said "2018". I apologized and said that is clearly an outdated form and that all of our rates were updated last year under each individual category. Our rate is $38 as stated. She said that I have to honor the lesser price. I said that I absolutely would if it wasn't correct under the "Raft" category and if that older flyer didn't clearly say "2018". She was very upset with me and stated she would be contacting the Better Business Bureau. The type of behavior she had exhibited to all 3 separate staff members she spoke with on every occasion was upsetting to all of us. We take "false advertising" seriously and as I stated above, we agree that we would have honored the rate except for the fact that it was correct on our main "Raft" trip info and the other flyer clearly stated "2018". Now that it was pointed out to us, I have emailed my web designer to make sure its changed on that older flyer.
