      DO NOT USE APHW! I purchased a house a month ago, my AC went out, it was a $1600 repair. APHW is covering $375. Ridiculous! I have to pay full amount out of pocket then wait for a month for my pathetic $375 reimbursement. What's the point of having a home warranty!!??

      They refuse payment for charges that are not listed in contract under "excluded " not covered items, at least any place I could find anyway. They will not pay a service charge if it is written as a milage charge on the bill, nor will they pay for any shipping of a part that is required to be ordered. They will ask your repairman to quote a price then they will tell you an amount they will pay. I.e. 1500 dollar quote then they say they will pay 1200 minus deductible (this is an example not actual prices) if contractor doesn't accept 3rd party payments they reimburse you. Problem is when you submit bill for quoted amount that was approved they then tell you what they are not going to pay. Remember pre-approval is required. So amount approved should be amount paid/reimbursed.

The warranty does not cover additional costs or related expenses, which may be required to complete repairs. Upon review of your HVAC claim, I'm pleased to see that we were able to assist with an amount to help offset the cost to repair or replace your unit. Also, things like mileage fees and freight charges are not listed as covered items under the warranty; therefore, they are not covered. The warranty does, however, offer coverage on a wide range of items throughout the home and attached garage, adding further value.       This company is pretty horrible to deal with, I would not recommend using them. They will not really cover anything and they lie and tell customers that they must speak to the contractor before doing work and that's not actually true. They will not pay for most claims and they will find any reason to try and confuse you into believing why a claim isn't covered. I won't be renewing my warranty with them, they lost my business by being scammy and unprofessional. I gave them 2 stars because they do answer phone calls (better than email only like some companies do) and have a web-based portal for customers, but that's all I can say that is positive.

      We have been introduced to APHW by our realtor with the promise of great service, by the way the same realtor mentioned in many other reviews. trusting her we renewed our warranty, including additional coverage, once the original contract expired. On the pro it is easy to get in contact with the agents and connect with the company.We have an issue with our AC and the only way for APHW to help is for us to sustain a $2500 leak inspection, fully paid by us and only then they will know if and how they can support, or, thanks for the option we can proceed with the replacement of the unit at our cost. And all of this with an AC unit using forbidden gas (we wont be able to refill it anyhow).The only results of having the insurance is the waste of time for me to open the claim and for our technician to connect.

      They will not cover Hardly anything on a replacement AC. Only wanted to cover the minimum of 500 dollars towards a replacement but they wont tell you that it is prorated when you sign up for the warranty. This business is a complete crock. Makes me wonder what all they do cover. I even had the unit inspected before the purchase of my home which came back fine. But as soon as the warmer weather came and we started running the Air unit more the unit went out. They only want to pay the bare minimum and will not at least cover half of the cost. Isn't this what Insurance and a warranty is used for . Do better!! **************** is rude and unhelpful when you call them to file a claim as well.

      They approved my claim. But, said they only paying out 275! The technician told them it was 1077 and they didnt cover the Freon. Which is about 300. So, in a nutshell they only paying for the part thats covered. I asked whats the point of insurance if you dont pay for the technician. This company is a fraud and a thief!!!

      We have had APHW since 2017. We have had to relocate for my spouse's job from state to state. When we moved to our current home our sellers included a home warranty that was with another company which I will not name (thumbs down). When that expired, I knew who we were going to go with (APHW, thumbs up). We have had a really great experience with APHW and I can truly say that since we have been with them for so long. I realize warranty coverage can vary from company to company but it is clear what they cover. What I would really like to highlight is their customer service. It is the BEST out of all the different ones we've previously had, and the claims process is easy as well. You can simply log in to your account and start a claim that way or you can call. Regardless, I am always treated kindly, and they are very helpful in answering my questions. I would like to thank ***, ****, ************************************ and *****! I always write down who I speak with because it matters when someone exceeds my expectations. If a homeowner is looking for a warranty company that checks all the boxes, this is it!

      I've had a policy with **** for over ten years and made my first claim today. My HVAC unit nearly caught on fire and they will not cover any part of the repair, labor or parts because it is under a manufacturer's parts-only warranty for two more years. Listen when people tell you not to trust this company, they will find a way not to pay your claim and there's nothing you can do about it.

      Do not use this company. I had a part of a toilet break and cause thousands of dollars of damage to a home I purchased 2 days prior. They found a minuscule reason to deny the claim that the plumber specifically said was not the issue and that it was normal wear and tear (which is explicitly covered in the contract) yet decided they know better than a professional and denied the claim. This took them 3 months to even call me back regarding this issue. As a first time home-buyer I feel completely duped and disgusted with this company. Look elsewhere for a home warranty.
