I hired Diversified Cleaning & Home Property Maintenance to install a fence and gate for me. The fence came out wonderful and I even posted about how kind ***** was to work with. The gate has given me nothing but issues. Upon the first installation of it (June 1st), everything seemed to be okay. It was a little off, level wise, but ***** came out and adjusted it the next day. I was not pleased with how he managed to install it as he drilled into my home and garage walls after I had explained I did not want it on there because I planned to side my garage at some point. But what was done, was done so I dealt with it. On June 12th the gate door began to drop and I wasn’t able to close it with out lifting the gate to place it in the latch. June 23rd he came back out and rather than adjusting the gate, he moved the latch. On June 25th the gate door was dropped down so far it was rubbing across the concrete, to the point I couldn’t even open it with out lifting it. I contacted ***** and have been ignored since. July 5th my father gave him a call, surprisingly he answered and was explained the issue. My father told him he had me order a wheel that could be installed and possibly help with the weight of the gate. He said he would be out last Thursday and reach out to me and let me know. I still have not heard from him. My father attempted to reach out again last night letting him know that if the gate was not fixed he would be contacting our attorney. This has been an ongoing issue for too long and the gate has been paid for in full since the original installation date. This morning he received a call from ***** and ***** told my father to meet him at my house so he could kick his f*ing teeth out. He asked if my dad was threatening him by saying he would contact his attorney and my father replied no, I will contact my attorney. ***** preceded to send text messages after the call.

The business owner informed BBB that the business was contracted to install a privacy fence.  After the installation was complete, the consumer contacted the business and wanted a gate install between the house and garage.  The area involved had recent concrete work done, so the business owner was originally hesitant to install the gate.  However, the business did go ahead and install the fence braced to the concrete.  The consumer then contacted the business complaining that some boards/pickets were uneven.  The business went out again and made the repair.  The consumer contacted the business yet again and complained that the gate was sagging. The consumer then wanted the business to come out over the July 4th weekend.  The business was unable due to other schedule conflicts.  The consumer's father now wants a wheel installed on the gate.

The business only charged the consumer $450 for the original job.  The business has been out three times.  The business owner believes that the problems the consumer is having are not related to the installation, but, instead, from things like the son swinging on the gate.  Any additional work is outside the scope of the original project.  The business also will not perform more work for the consumer, because her father threatened him through text messages and accused the owner of taking advantage of his daughter.  The threat of physical harm was made by the consumer's father and not the business owner.  The business considers the matter closed.
