Buyer be cautious! We bought a light from a posting on ******** Marketplace. We did get a nice light at a good price, HOWEVER communication was incredibly poor, to the point of misinformation, and the behavior especially of the male owner was terribly unprofessional:1. They listed a rectangular light with a double row of crystals. Some of the photos didn't match that, so I asked for a clarification. The actual light is oval with a single row of crystals. They claimed our message thread had been archived (more about that later) because they updated the listing. It is still the original listing even after "pending" and "sold".2. They missed the original time set for a meeting, claiming they "didn't know" about it (archived, you know?!?). Later the story changed to "we thought you weren't coming" - because I had asked a question...which they had never answered.3. I asked if it was in the original box, they said it was. It wasn't.4. They counter offered my offer, and I accepted that offer. When my husband came to pick it up they tried to back out of the deal and said I hadn't responded - even after I offered to send them a screen shot of the conversation. 5. They repeatedly claimed they "didn't know" information from earlier in the conversation "because it had been archived" - in a conversation which happened over a period of two days from start to finish. This claim was even made for a part of the conversation which happened half an hour before.6. The owner was adversarial and rude to my husband, who is the gentlest and kindest man on the planet. #6 is the reason I'm leaving this review. I can forgive ineptitude, and even lack of character, to some degree - but if you will treat people that way, you shouldn't be in business.
