On 6/29/21 we inspected my parents new home at Brookeshire Meadows noting several items that were missing or needed to be repaired. Since that date, I have followed up, met with, emailed, texted and called in excess of 50 times with Brookeshire Meadows/******** ********** to get these items repaired. The builder, ******* **********, was also at the property twice to look at the items that needed to be repaired. The deadlines set by Brookeshire and ******* ********** have not been met as agreed upon.

In response to the complaint from ****** *****. Brookshire Meadows West, Inc. ordered a new home for ****** ******* parents. The home has a 1 year factory warranty. Brookshire Meadows sends a list to the factory of the items in need of repair and the factory schedules a serviceman to repair these items without notifying us. The factory contacts the homeowner directly. We did email the ****** repair list to the factory a couple of times and the factory scheduled an appointment to look at all of the items needing repair. On 11/10/21, **** ***** from ******* ***** came to look at the repairs for the ****** and all of the other homes under warranty in our Communities. He met with ****** and myself. I received an email that the serviceman was scheduled to pick up the work order on 12/3/21. He would then contact the ****** to schedule service. Typically the factory will schedule service directly with the customer and we are not notified. We had relayed this information to ******. After receiving an email from ****** notifying us that she had not received any communication from the factory, I contacted ******* and **** from ******** They checked into the situation and let me know that the ****** should have been contacted as soon as the work order was picked up and that service has been scheduled for 1/3/22. The factory has had difficulty with production and employees due to COVID. Deadlines have been delayed. We are receiving a new home in January 2022 that was scheduled for delivery in September 2021.

Cement steps have a chip on them and I communicated with ****** that the cement company could not repair them the last time they were out due to the weather. It will be fixed in the Spring.

We feel we have been in contact with ****** ***** and have done our best to take care of ******** concerns regarding her parents home. Unfortunately, there have been unusual delays due to the unprecedented times.

      Thank You,
      Michelle B*****~ Brookshire Meadows

In response to the letter dated February 1, 2022. I connected with **** and ***** from ******* ***** to follow up on the ***** home repairs on February 14, 2022 after leaving a message the previous week. They were a bit confused about the complaint. ***** from ******* ***** was at the ***** home on January 27 and 28. At that time he completed all of the items on their list except for two exterior items. The outstanding items are the replacement of approximately 3/4 of a square of siding and OSB board which will be finished as soon as weather permits in the Spring. After ***** from ******* had finished all of the repairs inside the home, ***** spoke with ****** and she agreed that Spring would be okay for the exterior repairs.

The complaint was dated 1/21/2022 from the ******* We received the complaint after 2/01/2022. Before we received the complaint, ******* ***** had taken care of the repairs on the ***** home. This led to the confusion.

The piece of facia that did not match on the front of the home has been replaced by *****.

It was stated that **** from ********* commented on the cement work and the garage gutters. **** sets the homes and would have nothing to do with building the garage or installing gutters. He would have no reason to comment on these items as it is beyond his specialty. The homeowner did not purchase gutters with the garage. It was optional. They hired someone to install the gutters on their garage at their expense. It is the responsibility of the gutter company to caulk the gutters if needed. Drywall damage was not the spreadsheet revised 1/4/2022 from ******. If there is drywall damage in the garage. Brookshire will look at it and assess the damage. Whatever has caused the damage will need to be addressed before fixing the drywall.

      Best Regards,

      Michelle B*****

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I will follow up with Brookeshire Meadows and ******* ***** on the outstanding issues that they have agreed to repair in the Spring; Cracks in the drywall side of home, west side of home siding, front porch steps and the leaking in the garage.

      Sincerely,

      ****** *****

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2021/08/31) */ August 30, 2021 RE: Case #********: ************ ************ moved in The Storage Place August 10, 2020(?). After communication regarding an outstanding balance with Mr. ******, he sent a Money Order with NO signature. We communicated with him to mail it back to be signed. He wanted his friend to sign it. We replied it would be better to return to him but he had no address. So we asked for an address to mail it back to him(?) He replied to mail it to his friends address. Which we did. We put a green X where he should sign. Because, in the past, we have had an experience of a person signing it on line above and the bank would not cash it. So we marked with an X so he would sign correcty. However, he signed the back of the Money Order and AGAIN the bank would not cash. He now has to cross off this signature, initial it and sign where the green X is. That is what we did today!! Notice what he wrote where the return address goes. We have no address where he is. However, we have not harmed any of his belongings. That is not our intention! We run a reputable business. Signed by: _________________________ Marlene K.
