See attached documents. In summary I was upcharged $5000 dollars for problems the company had finding the street lead for a sewer hook up, a 38% increase to the original quote. I also did not get equipment installed that was included in the quote I signed. I got a 300 gallon dosing chamber instead of the 500 gallon dosing chamber I was quoted. Reasons; on the job I was told they did have the right equipment on the job site to put in a 500 gallon dosing chamber (unacceptable, how do they not know what equipment is needed for this job), after the job one of the owners told me that it was only required that they put in a 75 gallon (company does not honor contracts). In the end I ended up paying an extra $1000 and the township payed $2500. Still very disappointed with treatment by the company ownership/leadership. No issues with workers on site that I dealt with. I think we got a low bid and the job was going to get increased no matter what happened on the job. We learned that the estimator for our job was fired in August. I never signed the upcharge invoice but according to owner verbally agreed I guess because I did not stop them from continuing. They had half the money for the job for 4 months and my yard was dug up. I will be pursuing other avenues to get my grievance related to this job out there. I would like to get some of my money back but I don't expect it. I doubt the company ownership thinks they did anything wrong.

Kalamazoo Excavation pumped, filled and crushed our septic system then hooked up to city sewer. They had to come back to our home twice with dirt to fill in settlement around the sewer entry, located close to our front walkway and light post, from torrential rains. There is more settlement that looks dangerous and is still a problem that recently caused a new crack and sloping of our driveway. Our yard also looks like a huge pitcher's mound because they graded it with too much dirt. (Which my husband informed them, at the time of grading, not to use all the extra dirt.) We contacted Kalamazoo Excavation a few weeks ago with our recent concerns, and have not heard back from them. Now we need a different excavation company to repair/regrade our yard, and unfortunately, we cannot recommend Kalamazoo Excavation to anyone in the future.

Hi *********, thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, your tank was underneath the driveway, which we made you aware of. We explained that not only was it going to be tough to crush, but it was going to make it very difficult to re-compact the area under the driveway where the tank had once been. The only other option was to remove a portion of the driveway, which was our suggestion. We were informed you were OK with that and in fact, you planned to have a new driveway installed in the future because your driveway is cracked and sinking everywhere. There is literally not a section of your drive that is not cracked or sinking. So at your direction were crushed the tank without removing any part of your drive. You also did not want to have us seed or straw the area we disturbed to save on cost. Not strawing or seeding the area leads to erosion and sinking due to the pooling of water as a result of having no cover. After we backfilled the old septic area and compacted it as much as was possible we received 12 inches of rain that week, which is outside of our control or responsibility. Despite this, we came back to your home the following week and re-graded and seeded the disturbed area free of charge. We again received 6 inches of rain upon which we came back out to the property and again performed the above, free of charge. We also have been out to your property with a laser, and our grade along the driveway was within a 1/4" of the original grade of your existing yard. We have video of this and would be happy to send it to you or any other perspective customer that reads this review. Our contract did not call for any landscaping services, and explicitly warns against sinking after large amounts of rain and just settling of excavation in general after a backfill. It completely absolves us of the responsibility associated with the same. However, because we are a customer-centric business, we went above and beyond to work towards a 5-star review. This is literally the first review in our company's history that is not a 5-star. My name is Ryan R*****, and I am one of the owners. I would be happy to discuss this with you further or meet you at your home to look at the yard with you. My cell phone is ************. Please don't hesitate to reach out.

    Sincerely,

    Ryan
